Extra minerals requirements

First off I don't do industry much. I produce my own ammo and most of my own rigs. I was going to build a Dominix for personal use, and I see that I need all these extra materials. Why and when was this added to the game? WTH is this?! Why am I being charged twice the mineral contents to build one ship? My Eve time is very limited, and I do not want to spend more time mining, looting, refining or buying inerals than I have to. What Is the incentive for a new player (Or a old vet who wants to try something new) to even attempt manufacturing with this TAX that I get nothing from. It's more efficient to just buy them from someone else, and keeps newer folks out of the ship building game. I'm not wanting to build a fleet of them, and recycle them for profit! If that is what it is for, then nerf ship recycling, but don't screw the small guy who wants to build a ship for personal use.

Please find someway to remove this penalty, nerf ship recycling, or give us players a skill lower the extra penalty er I mean materials cost.

Plans like this make the US Governments budgeting sound sensible.

They were added when the ships were rebalanced to bring the material cost of ships of the same class more in line with each other.

Ok, the Domi (and a lot of other ships) needs more materials than it did before. So what?

It's not something they added to screw you and only you over, everyone gets exactly the same material requirements. The larger manufacturing entites don't get some magic reduction of extra materials. If they ever did remove extra materials, all they'd do is make the entire material requirement normal materials (which I doubt they will)

If CCP added a skill to reduce extra materials then every serious manufacturer would get that to 5 and the casual or occasional builder who didn't want to invest those months in a barely used skill would be at more of a disadvantage than he is now.

If the ship is cheaper to buy than to build, then buy it.

Ship recycling IS nerfed by the extra materials.

Learn how to be an industrialist before spouting off it's terribly unfair - Because only the (really) stupid people get left behind. Going on about how you have to mine the materials yourself doesn't do any wonders for your credibility, either...

Picking the Domi as the ship to complain about isn't a wonderful plan.

As it's now worth making, even with the extra materials, as long as you have at least ML 1 (higher is better, of course)

As for this 'tax' which you say it represents: Everyone has to deal with extra materials. What you get is the ship.

(if you want to complain, look at the procurer)

Woo! CSM XI!

You wanted to build a dominix.
There was a material list, containing a bunch of minerals. The fact that some of these are listed as "extra materials" is completely irrelevant.
Everyone (new or old) that wants to build dominixes has to do the exact same thing that you're complaining about doing. Why are you complaining?
