Having recently returned to the game I ran quite a few missions and ammassed a few thousand m^3's of loot.
A veritable treasure trove, by my standards. Its value would double my wallet! All I had to do was hauling it to the nearest trade hub.

Sadly, liquidizing the assets turned into a boring chore as the loot consisted of roughly 500 unique stacks with a few units in each.
There is quite a lot of mouse clicks involved in selling such a random pile, as each stack would have to be clicked and sold individually.
No keyboard shortcuts are availible.

Sure, everything cold be selected and refined with a single click, but only at a great loss.

Why not add a feature to sell all selected items for which there is a current buy order?
It would turn selling lots of loot from a mindnumbing chore into a quick business.

A good tip for beginning capsuleers, who haven't heard of or learned this yet, is to create your own station inventory filter(s), and then reprocess all modules that are meta 2 level or lower into minerals. That is how you can turn hundreds of stacks of crapy modules into a manageable number of mineral piles to be later sold at your own discretion. Better still, you can save those minerals for your own manufacturing jobs later, as you desire.

So this method can reduce the number of stacks you have to sell by a couple hundreds, but there will still be quite a few stacks (even hundreds in the worst-case scenario) remaining that you'll still have to manually sell.

Bottom line: I agree with you, and the idea is solid--but there is a pseudo-workaround that you can capitalize upon right now. It's not a real solution, but it does help. Better still, with high enough standings and skill in reprocessing, you can sometimes even *make* additional ISK out of reprocessing, versus just selling the crappy loot!

I will give filtering and refining a try, perhaps they will lead to insignificant losses.

I noticed this change was suggested among the "10 000 little things" thread. Dated 2011... Let's hope the devs plain missed it, rather than ignored it on purpose.

I can assure you that meta 1 and meta 2 items are worth more as minerals than as their respective modules. They'll sell better, too. Meta 3s are usually reasonable to refine as well, but check them first. Check them all, separating out the valuable from the to-be-refined, and then just do the melting as a large batch job.

Simple, efficient and it doesn't feel (to me) like it takes all that long.
