Different sized hauling ships

There is not enough variety of ships for hauling, there are only 3 important aspects for hauling, speed cargo size and hull tanking.

There needs to be a ship that is beefier than deep space transports and faster than a freighter. The current transports are based on Cruiser (or battlecruiser) hulls. Basing it on Battleship class hulls might provide a good variation.

Perhaps there is even a case for a mini transport, something to transport small cargo quickly, comparable in speed to an interceptor, without any slots, just speed, cargo and hull tank.

How about we wait for Transports to come up for rebalancing and see what Team Five-O does with them?

T1 Haulers (specialised and general)

Blockage Runners

Deep Space Transports

Orca

Freighters

Rorqual

Jump Freighters.

Seems to be a reasonable amount of diversity there.

Orca are capital class, like freighters, they where nerfed hard as haulers when they became scanable, they are almost as slow as freighters, and cargo hold size can be limiting for low value cargo like minerals. So people have giving up using them for haulers and just fly freighters now. (and to be fair they were not designed to hauler between trade hubs)

T1 haulers are all paper thin, can only haul low value cargo.

Blockade runners: fast, 4k cargo, unscanable; they are good for hauling high value cargo.

Deep space transports are niche, supposed to be for null sec, but they arent useful for anyone.

Freighters are good for hauling 1 Bil cargo, practically safe from a gank (though it can happen)

Rorqual: cant go to high sec, so cant haul between trade hubs, wasnt designed to do that.

There are no good options for hauling say 200 Mil of cargo, a freighter is overkill, but not other option.
