The endless boundaries of space remain a mystery to the races of man. Despite the collective efforts of all to chart and document entire systems, cosmic signatures, and the like, known space is still only a small portion of the cosmic fabric.

My Wormhole brethren, I come to tell you that we are the answer to Eden's plague...

**These ideas are not mine, they are the collective of Eden's conscience**

Wormholers are a special breed of pilot, we have a lust for pew that far exceeds that of our known space cousins. While content with larger battles our true specialty is in the unsuspecting gank of our targets. To emerge out of the shadows unbeknownst to our prey is oftentimes the only way to catch those who would hide from our holy guns. Thankfully we can hide in the shadows without showing ourselves to the system unlike are cousins, or our tactics would never be possible. Even amongst our cousins however, there is a call to temper this powerful intelligence tool.

Times come upon us and with them a vision of space exploration and capsuleer ownership of space. These could be dark times indeed as they have brought rumors of a new Gate... what will become of our target barren home???

Alas, BOB has received many sacrifices, and favors his realm. Unknown to the cousins crafting their new Gate, an unintended side effect awaits them. With the activation of powers far beyond their understanding, the link that tied capsuleers into the system grid has been disrupted. No longer will my brothers need fear instantly showing themselves when they jump into the known space from a Wormhole. Just as we must wait for our system scanners to reflect new signatures, the denizens of known space must wait for their system scanner to detect new pilots in the system that did not enter through one of the Gates.

Some of the loudest voices in Eden call out the end of our Squad based combat. They say we are losing to the Fleets, Faction Wars, and Blue Donuts of all things! I hear your cries brothers, we must keep these PASTRIES in their place! We are the balance that Eden needs, able to poke and prod out of the shadows behind enemy lines and intelligence. No longer will the pastries be able to leave their fields untended without risk of consequence. We may just teach them to keep their weapons closer as we bring about BOB's will by combat. Just as the Factions have reason to leave their shields and transverse the vastness of space, our calling will also be our undoing. For as one of us may be grabbing from the cookie jar, almost certainly others will we be watching, and waiting for the polarizing consequences of our Wormholes. As some of the most clever hunters in all of Eden, I am sure you can imagine the many other new tactics as well...

I daresay my brothers, that Wormhole space needs no change, we simply need to change the rules.

Well... we could use extra random connections through our space actually, as I have yet to see too many of my brothers...

You should give it another try. She talks about donuts and cookies, so I think you'll like it. Let me know if you have trouble with any of the multisyllabic (that broadly means long) words though.

Could have been a "nerf cynos" thread...

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

There are 2 types of wormholers, those who wish to venture beyond our comfortable home and strike against k-space, and those who want to hunt those hunters inside our domain.

Maybe I need a red coat and a monocle before my prophecies gain approval....

Alas, you would both be wrong. Just trying to get pilots into space :)

In fact, Jack, you are the inspiration for half of this, whereas Bert is part of the inspiration for the other half of the idea. Catering to both styles of play is difficult and I did my best to come up with a compromise for not only us wormholers.. but also one that gives the Jesus type feature EVE is calling for.

Indeed some wormholers lust for the null sec pew, and others can't stand those who would leave our beloved wormholes for said pew. What better way to appease both than to introduce a reason for those nullsec killers to polarize themselves on nullsec connections so that we can engage them?

If you are all looking at this from a "Honor wants to roam nullsec" you are gravely mistaken. Instead, I am looking at this as a way to increase all of wormhole space's chance at pew. With a mechanic such as this even nullsec residents may start trying to use wormholes more advantageously.
