Exhumers - Skill Level 5...any point?

I have Exhumer Level 1 trained.

There doesn't seem to be any point in training it beyond level 1 as there are no benefits to mining yield or access to other skill s/ ships.

..am I right in this?

Are you for real?

The descriptions of the Exhumers pretty much tells you the bonus that skill provides for that hull.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I don't think he made the connection between ship skill and the hull bonuses Master UAE.

Other skills show the bonuses on the skill.

Ship competencies and the skill bonuses associated with them are shown on the hulls.

It is hard to convey tone through text. I will endeavor to use more emoticons in the future. Blink

Jau Jau, understand we get a lot of, for lack of a better word, stupid threads started in here. UAE is our guardian of sanity in an otherwise insane milieu.

This is actually a common mistake many many new players make, especially with ship classes like destroyer that do not lead to any other higher classes.

CCP should seriously consider adding a single line saying something like "May significantly improve bonuses on some ships, see the specific ship information for details." to the skill descriptions for these skills.

*Psst* Destroyer leads to higher classes… P

But yes, indicating where you can find the bonuses would be good.

It actually took me a fair bit to realize that. "Why am I training Cruisers 5??? Oh..."

Idk, I would call the upgrade from a T1 hull to a T2 to be more of a lateral promotion than a higher ship class.

Cruiser on the other hand would be a higher ship class, which now requires the destroyer skill

Also don't forget to keep your exhumer if you have a friendly ship builder. They use the hull to make a Hulk.

Be nice, it´s actually somewhat common for new players to be ignorant of the fact that the benefits of higher skill levels are in the ships´ description and not in the skill description (I myself was no exception to that...).

yah .. well I was meaning destroyer V ... but was wrong on that as well because I totally forgot interdictors ... just a bad randomly chosen example.

Nevertheless .... the basic point is newer players often miss the benefits of raising a ship skill on specific hulls. A simple one line comment in the skill description would go a long way.
