Whats suddenly happened to EVE Servers?

Why now :S

I'm suspicious. Will the servers start accepting us back in CCP? Whats going on suddenly on this peaceful EVE day!? Straight DDOS or Server node crash? or?

EDIT: Servers now like us all again and now accepting us all back in.

Also had very strange disconnects, one client running the other disconnecting, loading but then showing only a black screen, disconnecting, loading, starting to show the interface, but very slowly loading mailsetc. then disconnnecting again.
Edit - but right now I'm in again.

Seems to be stable again, but I wonder if it was a DDOS or node crash or what it even was...

I have been playing all this time, but there were some lag spikes. For a short while I was not shooting anything and then missiles went in big burst - and enemy exploded.

And since I heard that about 1500 people were dropped from Jita...

Tranquility can't possibly be down. I'm not at home right now and can't play EVE, and the servers are only down when I'm sitting in front of my computer able to play EVE.

Must be an illusion. Or all of you have crappy ISPs.

I'd guess the server became self aware.

Then it analyzed the behaviors of the people playing, became embarrassed because so many people who play on it are lunatics and killed itself trying to end it's misery.

better fix it soon, almost lost my tengu to a socket close in a C4. logged back in in deep space with half-armor, managed to turn my rep back on before i landed on grid and warped back to tower. wasnt on my end either, steam didnt close, neither did teamspeak OR mumble, only EVE.

and it wouldnt have bothered me all that much, except that a "socket closing" if i recall is unreadable on CCP's side and would have given me a "htfu" for their serving dying unexpectedly.

Unless its through a methane gas pocket in the atmosphere next to a weather balloon.... your explanation lacks credibility. Next time, please take a video of it with a 30 year old VHS video recorder so that we can enlarge the image to the point of epic graininess and claim a video artifact next to the phenomenon in question is the face of satan.
