Question about a method to automate the bidding and removing fake bids

In my recent attempt to sell myself, I've encountered an activity that is may or may not a scam, but surely disruptive to the character selling: fake offers. They can be used

  • to scare off honest bidders (offering 19B to make 17B guy go away, and then buy the pilot cheaper)
  • to test how deep the seller would go (offer a 18B buyout, if he accepts, disappear, come another alt with 17B offer)
  • to simply troll (what stops bored guy from starting a trial or recruit-a-friend account and bid 999B on everything in the bazaar?)
  • to bump the thread (with a ridiculous offer)

I have an idea how could the bidding become automated and secure from such disruption: in-game contracts.
I set up an in-game auction or sell contract for a cheap but uncommon item (little helper male/female comes to my mind) for the same prices as the character and add the bazaar link as description. Specify the contract here in the bazaar. Can't be missed, as it would be the only contract started by the pilot being sold.

Buyers would simply bid on the item. Whoever wins, gets the pilot. Scams are forbidden as a character sale is involved.
I'd like to ask ISD/DEV if such method would be allowed?

Tooooookooooooooooo you don't have to wear that dress tonight!

Also the trouble is people might be bidding on your character and others as well. If they are forced to hand the cash over then they could only bid on one character at a time which isn't cool especially if there is a lot of competition. Whilst their money is in your sale another character might come up with a potentially better deal or more suited to their needs.

Just simply sell for nothing less than your asking price. It's the seller who is to blame if he accepts anything less after all he is in charge.

Edit: And what if an auction lasts 30 days and the guy who has been bidding since day 1 logs on on the 29th day only to see the guy selling the character has cancelled the sale. He just wasted 29 days for nothing as his money has been held.
