A few missions a week and the standing hits from killing them are 'fixed'.

The missions stop giving you faction (not corp) standing after the first time you rank up.

Yeah I noticed that, it doesnt seem to drop too much (as long as I dont pod)- For now my Caldari standing is still very high.
Eventually it could become an issue.

If I was sensible I would just train a blank account slot for a few weeks to do it. The corp can buffer a -10 to Caldari toon standings wise - then it wont matter too much if I get carried away and pod them.

timer rollback would be just way to deny system capturing without using much time by defender.

Idea of system capturing is that who spends most time in plexes should win, clear and simple, no matter if ship is empty player still uses time in there.

Woot? Since when do PVP-ers value 'spending time in an empty ship' (aka 'the boredom war' Big smile) vs. the ability to hold a plex - or kick somebody out of it - with superior force?

Yeah stagnation, pirate influence etc. may be an issue, but it could be solved with a good rollback mechanic:

1) BAD: Rollback when plex is 'contested' (empty, or just neutrals, or both gal and cal mil) --> yeah, not a great idea

2) GOOD: Rollback only when plex is being 'captured' by one of the militias --> much better imo

To clarify:
- Bad Messenger oplexes a small plex in Fliet - runs timer from 15 down to 5 mins
- BM safes up for an urgent bio
- A pirate warps into the plex. Timer is still frozen at 5 mins (NO ROLLBACK)
- BM warps in, kills pirate. BM proceeds to further run down timer from 5 min to 2 min
- I warp in, engage BM. After an epic 5 min 1v1, he gets lucky and kills me (he probably had links too). Timer was frozen at 2mins during the whole fight. BM loots my ship and proceeds to finish his 2 mins left
- 1 min later, Deacon warps in. BM ***** his pants and warps out! \o/ for Galmil
- ONLY NOW DOES THE ROLLBACK KICK-IN: Deacon starts with the timer showing 29mins for Galmil, but it takes him MUCH LESS THAN 14mins, say 2-3 mins (so 5x speed) to get that timer back to the original 15mins
- Once timer has 'rolled back' to 15mins, it resumes counting in 'real time' as long as Deacon (or another Galmil) runs the plex

I honestly cannot be sure I considered all possible implications, but seems to me that THIS kind of rollback:
1) would put farmers out of business
2) would favor pew
3) would not give more power to pirates
4) could actually lead to a more dynamic warzone for the PVP-ers: IF you have a better fleet than ze enemy, you could both attack and defend more effectively

Emergent gameplay at its finest. Add some roleplay for bonus lulz:

Put 'Military Police' in toon's bio.

Introduce a standard termination notice :"FarmerAlt23, you have been found guilty of warzone looting and possesion of illegal farming equipment (cloaks&stabs). You will be terminated on behalf of the Caldari State / Gallente Federation".

Give him a free fitted derptron so he can 'redeem himself' by 'serving his time' as a 'conscript'.

All that love FW should form a kind of inofficial ally. All four militas.

Get all FW systems to vul and leave them there - no one of us needs plex lps.

Forbid all corps outrside the "ally" to flip ihubs - at the threat of a war dec.

Kill all fleets that try to bash an ihub.

War dec all farmer corps if possible - many are in npc corps oc. Scram/web farmers in our own mili and call in WT for clean-up kills.

Destroy all pie gangs that show up. Blue other milies for that.

Destroy all null bear gangs that show up. Blue other milies for that.

Destroy all pos`s and custom offiicies that are not run by FW corps. Moon are ****** enough - burn them all.

Fight your milita enemies as hard as you can - but also work together to make FW even better.

Null bears should be contained to their ****** space and rot there - having all the fun and greatness of being F1 drones.

Hunt down all kill all wh bears that have to move through our space.

We are about 2000-2500 (all four militas) pilots in FW - all should petition CCP about known issues in FW - like stabs in plexes . . . keep spamming petitions until CCP gets moving.

Make a standard petition about stuff we hate and spam in every day.

Stabs and cloaks in plexes are not an issue at all. A stabbed / cloaky farmer can do nothing at all to keep you from capturing that plex if you want it.

The issue is that you have to put more time into capping it than they do.

Timer rollbacks at greater than 1:1 speed give too much advantage to defensive plexers in contested systems. Think of how many times a contested plex got handed back and forth between fleets when there was a major push. Advantage would be huge for those who could reship fastest.

My preferred solution is just parallel timers: both sides have an X minute timer to complete, first one across the finish line wins. You're not penalized either way, attacking or defending.

Now that we've fully derailed this thread into yet another cloaky stabbed farmer whine, shall we get back to posting about the uptick in actual combat in the warzone?

Awesome.

We Gallente have a saying: "CCP created the Gallente Militia to train the Fighters..."

This is definitely the way forward. Far better in all ways to an increased rollback, which would make life far too easy for the defenders.

As of this moment (not a weekend), there were:
8 systems with more than 200 kills in the last 24 hours.
19 systems with more than 100 kills, and
44 systems with more than 50 kills.

This is a ridiculous amount of pvp. Much of it has to do with Brave Newbies, Eve Uni moving into Southern Placid, Snigwaffe moving back to Kinakka, (We Fight in Ouelletta, Stay Frosty. at 180+ members in VV) and many more corps filling up our area of low sec. As a long time veteran who joined when the only two active systems on the map were OMS and Tama, this amount of pew is quite remarkable.

+1 to all you bloodthirsty pilots out there.

More pew = more fun!

The vast majority of it has to do with A) frig/cruiser rebalance making sub-bs fights extreeeeeeeemely commonplace, and probably the biggest was the crimewatch changes, like the new gateguns, suspect timers, etc. All of these things combined for MORE FUN PVP FOR EVERYONE YAY WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooo......oh and tags-4-sec made fixing sec status way more convenient, so back to the pewpew in a hurry!

Rubicon making pvp much more commonplace with MORE SHIPS GETTING CAUGHT due to faster warp speeds of tacklers (mmmmm battle helios....)

It might even get busier! Given a major coallition is being pushed hard, eventually a lot of people/corps that aren't into the 0.0 grind will pick lowsec once again as a place to be. If a true blue-donut is made, even more will leave just to get more pewpew in lowsec, and hell even more 0.0 entities will roam lowsec for more kills 'cause that's where it'll be!

https://map.zkillboard.com/ watch how often that sucker flashes in Black Rise and Placid and the nearby regions on a consistent basis and you have the best lowsec regions around!

Haaaaaalp my head's on fire
