Caldari / Minmatar Faction Ships

From what I've heard it hasn't been done because there are already ships with combinations of each races bonuses. What about adding a smartbomb bonus shipline using both Caldari and Minmatar ships skills. The Caldari bonus could be bomb damage or radius. The Minmatar could add a speed bonus. Maybe even add a new pirate faction into the lore for these ships.

Why would I spend .5-2billion on a ship that does the same thing as a rohk?

if its bonused you would need less in a fleet to do the same thing. It could be more mobile then a rokh. A small number could go after drones in a larger fleet fight. Allows smaller gangs access to smartbomb tactics.

Why would you spend billions of ISK on a battleship that can't do anything at all in highsec and can barely do anything useful in low/null anyways?

That's like saying why use a Bhaalgorn instead of an Armageddon, In large fleets sure its not very cost effective. But for small gangs and wormholes they offer another tactical layer. Maybe instead of a mobility bonus they can get a immunity to webs and their role would be to chase and clear drone swarms.

You don't use a curse for pve yet we still have ships that are only used in pvp situations. There isn't a ship line that has bonuses to smartbombs wouldn't a pirate faction be a good way to introduce one.

I would like to see the RNI (and other Factions) to be more cost effective. It costs 523 million, and yet the Rohk which goes for 191 million, is said to be just as good.

But I think loyalty points is one cause of the major price hike.

Once upon a time the Golem had a Raven hull and it looked good. Then it transformed into a plataduck. The end.

i was hoping something very fast with bonuses to missile damage application rather than damage itself.

This idea has been floated around a bit in the form of a new Pirate Faction. What I'd love to see is a Caldari-Khanid ship with +5% rate of fire per level, 4% to armor resistances per level and a +50% role bonus to missile damage. The battleship would sport 7 highs (6 launchers), 5 mids and 8 lows. And it would only come in black. Lol

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

EoM ships.

Caldari Side: Railgun-oriented bonuses and a couple of launcher slots.
Minmatar Side: Active Shield bonuses (meaning cap cost reduction or boost increase or cycle time reduction), or a reduction in sig radius.

except EoM is pretty much an Amarr/Caldari npc group.

I think such a minmatar/caldari npc faction would not be so much a pirate faction as much as a weird organization like Sisters of Eve has become with Gallente/Amarr ships. So maybe Society for Conscious Thought (but I can't remember whether the backstory with them would make sense for this, geographically it might) or some group like that, maybe Thukker Tribe.

CCP, there are off buttons for ship explosions, missile effects, turret effects, etc. "Immersion" does not seem to be harmed by those. So, [u]please[/u] give us a persisting off button for the jump gate and autoscan visuals.

Make one based on Vindicator,
8 high, 8 launchers,
7mid slots
5 low slots

Role bonus 37.5% dmg to missiles

7.5% / level explosion radius (or velocity)
15-20% TP bonus (10% makes a max boosted TP about as effective as an unbonused t2 web, only with higher range)

Lets not forget 125mb for 5 heavy/sentry drones

EDIT: according to my EHQ a Domination TP with max boosts on a Huginn gives 99.86625% sig radius while overloaded (83.221875% cold) @ 60k+90k range.
Same ship/bonus for a TS web gives a range of 104.9km hot or 80.7km cold with 55% speed reduction.

Well you could make a Shiled Boost AND shield resist bonused ship.. with a role bonus of 25% rof bonus to all missiles.

Woudl be a hell of a brick :P
