[Rant] Dear agent, don't offer a mission I just declined!

I'm one of those carebears in low sec, running level 5 missions.

More than often I get some mission offer that I do not want to do. So I politely decline.
Now comes the annoying part.
The agent offers me the same mission I declined 5 seconds ago. The same mission, again!
(I've actually declined the same mission 3 times in row)

Which brings me to the question. Why's that? There's obviously a reason I don't want this mission right now. Stop with the annoying salesman tactics. NO MEANS NO.
Try again in an hour. Meanwhile, give me something different.

0 sp alt, share standings, after a few days you can pull and decline twice as many missions!

Also, yes, I sympathize with that frustration.

Or maybe stop complaining that all you want is missions optimized for your farming needs? Might as well go all the way and ask CCP to remove all missions except your favourite one so you can farm it endlessly in peace.

I actually wouldnt complain if I could set the agent to only give missions against pirate factions for a -20% payout

want 100% roll the dice and maybe get a mission you dont want.


Granted i dont run missions much anymore.

It would be nice if the agents were smarter than a random generated code.

Roll

Cloaking is the closest thing to a "Pause Game" button one can get while in space.

Support better localization for the Japanese Community.

Let's make it easier for you to understand, dear Dato.

I come to you and ask for gum.
You say "Sure buddy!. Here, let me offer you the best strawberry flavoured gum there is!"
And I'd say "Oh, strawberry... sorry, I'm not in the mood for that right now.. maybe later. Got any other options?"
To which you'd reply "Hmm, no problems. Something else... let's see... hmmm, how about strawberry?"
At which point I'd realize you really are a moron.


I have not kept count, but I can safely say: 3 out of 5 is Rogue Spy. It's a frikkin' 3-part mission!
I'm not asking for easier missions. I'm not asking for more missions.
I'm asking for more diversity.


PS. I understand that Dato would now most probably send me to hell and offer no gum at all. Straight

Maybe it's just me but I always noticed similar/same missions pop up in a given time frame.

If I decline a fight Amarr mission I generally see another against Amarr if I ask again right away. (( Sometimes same mission ))

When I wait 10 mins I find that it almost never happens.

The missions do have some random generator going but I've noticed patterns in the last 4 years that are hard to ignore.

It could just have been my odd luck and it is completely random but I've seen it rather consistent and I've flown enough missions to have very positive standings with all four empires.

Due to this when I get a mission against a group that I need to decline that is when I go take a food/bathroom break before asking for another.

See if this helps you and I'd love some feed back from other players on this as I still could just be the random person who experienced something random although I very highly doubt it.

Never attribute to incompetence what you can to malice :)

The agent is required to be nice to you...but he REALLY wants to tell you to go ...well something nasty. So what does he do? He offers you the same mission you just declined. His mission is accomplished :)
