OK, what exactly are these store items for?

I just returned to Eve to check out the changes. I haven't played since Incursion, so bear with me.

I see that there is now a store that sells vanity items. I also received a mail telling me I had some AUR to spend so I thought I'd check out this store and see what all the talk is about.

Well, I purchased a pair of boots (all I could afford) and they quickly showed up in my hangar. Now I can't figure out what to do with them. The right-click menu offers no options, and I can't seem to find any instructions about what to do. Even searching the new forums for 'Noble Exchange' returns nothing. I'm of course assuming they should be added to my clothing in my character customization.

I guess they are truly vanity items, as they sit there and look pretty in your hangar window. :-\

Anyone know what you do with them?

You can enter character recustomization, and add vanity clothes to your character there.

Character recustomization can be found in station as one of the station options. Or, go click on the mirror in the Captain's Quarters once you dock.

Leave them in Items-hangar and then go to Character Re-Customization (2nd last button in Station Services, or that Mirror in CQ). The boots should show up as first item in the section which shows all footwear.

FYI clothes bought at the NeX store are left on a JC just like implants, default clothes go with you

I believe that you can go into the portrait creation tab, on the right side of the neo-com, and apply the boots in the section that allows you to change clothing. I may be wrong though as I have not entered that section in months.

Do the items have to stay in the hangar to be available as clothing options?

Those boots are made for walkin, and that's just what they'll do.

Only items in hangar appear in re-customization i think. Also, if you equip that item, it will disappear from hangar. You can then get it back as item by going to re-customization and taking it off.
