Today I forgot my Mobile Tractor Unit at a mission site so I went back to probe for it. It was HELL to find because a lot of my results were other peoples MTUs. I finally found my own but it wasn't really worth my time. This is my proposal to make it worth your time to go back for your lost MTU.

Make them scoopable by anyone after 3 hours! As it is now most of them is probably just going to sit there for 2 days before they dissapear because no one bothers to go back for them if forgotten in the middle of space.

Drops from whatever is inside.

You don't need a war to shoot them after all, but I believe you will go suspect.
Not that it matters if it's other peoples left behind ones.

Is there a sec status loss for shooting them ?

Meh. The value of the contents pale in comparison to the value of the structure itself!

I also support industrialists by leaving mobile depots and tractors in space.

If only there were a way to mark or tag the location of something in space, so you can warp back to it after you accidentally leave it in the site, some sort of... oh, I don't know... bookmark.. in space? That'd really be helpful.

So, you're a bounty hunter. No, that ain't it at all. Then what are you? I'm a bounty hunter.

While bookmarking them is sensible, it is nonsensicle that we fly semi-intelligent starcraft with communications capable of spanning a galaxy with no delay, but agents have not figured out fax machines or email, and these dropped structures don't add themselves to our assets list when dropped.

They should either be scoopable by anyone, or be able to talk to us about their location and cry for help when attacked.

Well if you were allowed to take other peoples forgotten MTUs it would absolutely be worth the time looking. Besides, you can steal everything else in this game, why not also personal deployables? For consistency and logic!
