Y no drones on Legion?

I was fiddling with Loki setups and I realized that 5 light drones can be use all the time, without the drone subsystem. With the recent advances in drone technology in Amarr faction, shouldn't the Legion be able to support 5 light drones too? And like the Tengu, the Loki shoudn't be able to support drones without the drone sub. The fun is over.

T3 haven't had their rebalance pass yet.

EVE is what happens when the rule of law does not apply and Darwinism is allowed to run freely.

My 2 cents

Amongst the ones stated, they got one sub with drones, two for the loki, three+one for proteus

The Proteus got a dedicated dronesub, a turretsub that allows for drones, and one sub without drones. To add to that one engineering sub for drones. The dronebay without the engineering sub chosen is terrible, with the eng. sub the ship is terrible.

It just so happens that more people fly the loki with the turret sub with drones (and falloff) instead of the tracking one (which also has no drones). So the loki has two out of 4 subs allowing for drones, but it's lacking a specialized one. The second dronesub for the loki is defect, so yee...

Amarr got a dedicated dronesub, but no hardpointsub with that splash. Unlike the proteus dronesub, the amarrian one is actually useful with it's 200m³ bay.

Tengus got Drones, unless you fly them shieldtanked?


Tl;dr:
Drones are currently fine for legion/tengu/loki (legion cause of what the ship actually does aside drones), the proteus needs fixing.

Legion drone sub also gives a cap bonus to lasers, which at the time made it a damage bonus as lasers had really great damage compared to other turret systems. A few rebalances have happened since then(to say the least), and it is no longer really the case.


p.s. loki doesn't get a drone sub, nor does all of it's useful configs give drones.

p.p.s. Legoin drone sub is op, 50mbit/s+200m3 bay size is so broken it is ridiculous. Also gets a hitpoint bonus. Crazy.

Maybe you missed the.. Legion drone sub.

Also, Loki doesn't have drones in every configuration and when it does they're not bonused like the Legion's drone sub (nor does it get as much bandwidth).

The legion's drone sub is 4 unbonused guns and 50mb of bandwidth. That's arbitrator dps.

Amarr drone ships have never been purely offensive like their gallente counterparts...they've always been ewar/capwar ships.

Having 4 full flights of ec-600 on 6 bonused perma running nuets or even 8 nuets with an et coming in with something like 100k ehp/80% resists is crazy good.

Pretty much how the FOTM mindset works in MMO's. The rest of us can continue enjoying the game while these fools debate what the top 0.1% performer is this week.

Yeah, real sexy until you realise that the only thing you can apply that damage to is a battleship that is sitting 5kms away from you and not moving. Oh, and you'll be hugely expensive, have a paper tank, die to anything that has a neut and be completely unable to save yourself from even a single interceptor.

But you have a really big number on EFT, so you've got that I guess.

I believe we were talking about the drones on the legion, not the neuting sub. It has one sub that gives it any drones, and a neuting sub doesn't change that fact.
