Currently we have ore holds and mineral holds in industrial ships its very nice.

How about adding hold for packed ships and drones.
Approx capacity at L5 = 70k m3 = BS + BC

We have regular haulers for that, or SMA's in capitals.

Regular have too small hold, carriers not for hi-sec.

An Orca carries ships nicely in highsec.

There is a reason this is not allowed, which is related to getting battleships into smaller class wormholes too easily. A ship, which can enter a C1, should not be able to carry inside a battleship.

I would be amenable to that, with the exception that the mass and material cost for the 'Hauler' type industrials to be a bit closer to battlecruisers, including hull hp. Separating the gap between the fast couriers and the heavy haulers would be ideal indeed. Perhaps they could set this up in conjunction with the t2 indy rebalance?

So an orca then.

I would love to be able to separate a part of the hold and designate it as 'ammo storage' (or any other storage type I want).

In other words, having separate windows for some item groups.

That way I won't accidentally sell the ammo...

I know its not changing space. Its just easier management.

Once upon a time the Golem had a Raven hull and it looked good. Then it transformed into a plataduck. The end.

but the orca is a ship used by pirates so they don't have to dock up to re-ship to gank people it needs to be like the orca have half the bass twice the agility a tenth of the cost and twice the size of hold and you can't fit ships in it if you're in a gang with someone who's ever had a negative sec status change cause pirates are bad oh and it needs to have the tank of a carrier

I carry small crates around for things like that in addition to the other fittings that I use on the ship at any given time

Too expansive, too slow, need lots of skills, same for freighter.

So you want something that does what an orca does, with no training or cost involved, and you think this is balanced because...?

17 Days to get into an orca.

It's a substantial investment (isk wise), but it's also a risk to fly - so, theoretically you don't have a bunch of new players jumping into them and hauling obscene amounts of ISK through space and getting blapped.

I'm not seeing the need you've outlined.

well for some reason CCP made all those specific Holds in indy ships, and that made life MUCH easier. Everything can potencially be carried in orca or in freighter...

OP is asking for packed ships.

Industrials are large enough for that.

"**CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"**

Never forget.

Orca has its own roles that it fills quite nicely. For the rest of us that don't feel like shelling out over half a billion isk to move our stuff, this thread is discussing balance changes to ships you might have flown. They're called industrials, and while their rebalance was nice, they could still use a little work.
