I am new to the game, mostly do mining and i am really confused about navigation. In the first location there are asteroid belts with mostly veldspar so i wanted to mine something else, since missions started to require different ores. I tried to find what to do in the eve wiki and i found out that other minerals can be found in other security levels? like 0.9 and so on. So the question i how do i get there?

Find a jumpgate and warp through, and if you ever want to get back to your "home" system, just look in your assets window for the station your stuff is at.

I recommend using this site. http://evemaps.dotlan.net/

Otherwise, you can always access the in game map as well.

Didn't you jsut do that by quoting the above P

Also, these might be come in handy for you to find systems that qualify.

Just keep in mind, some minerals are ONLY found in hostile space (low-sec / null-sec). This is for game balancing (null-sec people need the tritanium mined in high-sec because null-sec lacks high amounts of them, high-sec needs the high-end minerals that come from null-sec).

If you are in the system, look at the top left of your screen.
That pale blue 1.0 right after 'Embod'? That's the security status.

If you open the 'Info' Dialog of a system, it's in the top section, right under Constellation.

And finally, when you open the star map, open the 'World Map Control Panel', select the 'Star Map' / 'Stars' Tab and then select 'Security Status'. All stars will now have a color representing their security status. (Pale blue is 1.0, green is 0.7, yellow 0.5, shades of orange low-sec and shades of red are null-sec.)

No need for dotlan. (Although dotlan is still a very useful site, as their maps are much easier to read.)

Denizius, have you gone through the tutorial yet? The WHOLE tutorial?

I mine so you can have the fuel to run your POS.

Have you thanked a miner today?

Definitely do the WHOLE tutorial, pay attention to it. It is very helpful, shows you all you're asking. Plus you get a lot of goodies while doing it, like ships and modules and so on.

Don't forget you can also "Right Click" a destination when given one during a mission and click "Set Destination" You will get colored squares, just right click those to warp through to where you wand to go.
