Can't find the pirate in "your undivided attention" tutorial mission

I'm a new guy playing EVE online, and I'm currently doing the Advanced Military tutorial missions. I'm at the mission where I have to warp disrupt a fleeing pirate. However, when I warp to the location the mission tells me to go to, I can't find him. Just 2 huge asteroids and white-green-ish cloud. I've tried docking and undocking, warping back and forth, restarting the game.. He's just never there when I warp to the location. Any suggestions?

Read details on mission..maybe you should move towards something to make it spawn.

I've had this happen, just put in a support ticket, guy didn't spawn in for some reason.

I believer J'Poll got it right, you have to approach the obvious scenary and then he spawns really close to you.

Thank you guys. For some reason he just wouldn't show up on my overview. I did find him after following the advice I got and moved towards the cloud, and I tried to direction scan and see if that worked. D-scan didn't find him. Had to manually click him and warp disrupt. Anyway, thanks again. Problem solved
