425mm Rails on the Rokh - Scaling Issue

Greetings, was just wondering about other people's feedback on this and if CCP had any intentions of fixing it. It's not necessarily a major issue, but still something to be addressed, I think.

The 425mm railgun model looks oversized on the Rokh (possibly on other ships too, I'm not skilled for other ships and haven't seen it). The base of the turret is round-shaped, and it's so large that it actually protrudes from the hull of the ship a bit. Shown below:

As I said, not a major issue, but it looks strange, like it doesn't belong.

Thanks for reading.

yeah, most (all) of the bases are a bit "off".

meh, stop looking at your shiny toys and use them to blow up someone else's shiny toys Twisted

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

a rokh isn't going to blow anything up

This turret has the same problem on both the mega and the naga. It's a ****** looking turret anyway, so wouldn't be sad if it was completely redesigned.

Yeah, another one of these. Megathron and Phantasm also suffer from scaling issues like these. I really hope CCP will eventually redo all models that are affected by it.

425mm rails only fit correctly on ONE ship, the Talos. Every other large hybrid ship that can equip them does not have a mount large enough to hold the entire base.

Poor graphic design imho.

turret size is perfect, just need to reduce the base a little. I'd use the Naga as a starting point, because if it looks good on the naga, it'll look good on the rokh.

If you think its bad on the rokh, just fit it on the naga..

^^ this.

Taking a Rokh into battle is like taking a knife to a gunfight. Useless and you will die.
It is probably one of the worst Caldari ships in the range. Fix the ship first.
Try it, fit it as best as you can and PvP with it, see how bad it is.

I don't PVP, I do missions with the Rokh. For that, it serves its purpose well, and that's all I'm concerned about.

WhoTF thinks you know what size the designer intended them to be?

Do you have a RealLife gun to compare them to?
Did not think so.

Can I have your stuff?

No, those are Gallente ships.

It's even worse on the Naga - the rim of the turret base floats off one edge and clips into the other.

I think that would look pretty cool if the aliasing were smoothed out a bit.

Paradise is like where you are right now, only much, much better.
