Sorry if this is the wrong sub, but I need help before I break down in tears.

I get a huge kick out of RF'ing Mobile Units and coming back to kill it 2 days later.

Problem is, when I scan them, I set a filter for Mobile Units only, yet, every structure in system shows up.

What am I missing?

this is very oft repeated question.

The filter cannot filter data that hasn't been revelated to the player yet for scanning.

You are scanning for structures. They show up. Once they get to 25% or 50% wherever the threshold is to see the next level data beyond "structure," the filter then kicks in, and the sig remains because its an MD, or it disappears from scanner because it kicks in and sees its not a MD.

This makes the filter nearly useless aside from the differentiating basic signal types (structure, drone & probe, cosmic sig....)

Only use the filter for selecting basic signal types.

Uses D scan to find the Depot, then put your probes there.
