Allowing High Sec systems to be flipped into Low sec and vice versa

Its a shame that we can't make some high sec systems into low sec and vice versa through some mechanic similar to flipping a faction warfare system. If CCP truly wanted to see more activity in low sec, this would certainly be the way to do it.

Just think of the ramifications would be flipping a highly traveled high sec system like Eudama/Sivala into a low sec one would be. Since it is the most traveled systems in Eve, It would be pure chaos! One that the care bears should want to protect and one that the low sec pirate corps/alliance would love to keep.

A person that does'nt use his intelligence is no better than an animal that does'nt have any and thus are steaks on the table by choice and consent.

Doesnt make sense that you cant anyway. So CCP allow any ship into high sec.

See its laughable that you think that changing the sec status of a couple systems would affect thee carebears much at all. All they'd do is check their autopilots to ignore systems recently changed to lowsec, and maybe make 3-4 extra jumps in their trips back and forth. That, or jsut change their missioning system. There wouldn't be more lowsec combat due to this.

Perhaps if some lowrats got organized enough they could make stabs through HS changing whole regions into low and cutting off major trade routes all together. And well, all that would change is the prices of everything would shoot up. That and the game would lose about half its playerbase because they don't want to deal with the new degree of BS.

Ok I know you all want everyone in the game to stop what they're doing and fly out to low/null and join in on the "fun" you're having out there, but people won't change, they'll just leave and go find another game that offers what they want.

Just flipping, on a whim and just because some people want them to be changed? Surely you are joking. Roll Activity-based changes might be interesting, where highsec systems with very few activity (jumps per day/rats killed/roids mined) and lowsec systems with a lot of activity (ships killed/rats farmed/roids mined/jumps per day) lose and gain sec status. Imagine Tama being Highsec and Factionwarfare lowsec systems become highsec. TwistedRoll On the other hand, systems like Vecamia can become highsec, opening new routes via highsec to tradehubs. Lol

You do realise that some would flip jita. It's just far to open for manipulation, by larger organisations. So no thanks.

People always comment on these threads without even thinking of the possibilties, as ive said before CCP should end the sansha storyline and use the experience/knowledge learned to impliment minor/major incursions from not only other pirate factions but also empire factions, flipping a systems sec is not much of a deal if done well (e.g 0.5 could be limited to 0.6 or -0.4).

Tie this in with a few other ideas that have been floating about on the forums (also, my thread!) and you make the galaxy a more diverse and living place with more content for the players to get involved in, warnings can be placed in advance of players jumping into systems with the systems afflicted having a sort of spool up timer and concord warning in local.

Also activity could be increased far much more with explorable, diverse, fun npc content than it will be with increased opportunities to kill players who don't know any better, this way of thinking is what creates the elitist behavior we have today with a proliferation of blobs looking for easy kills and 'tears'.

Forget flipping Jita to manipulate market prices (same goes for any hub), I'm sure there are people that would do that just the shear fun of it! Over all this idea of flipping high sec and low sec system sec status is just a bad idea.

And the week before that and many times prior to that one too. It's an old idea that's been debated to death. In the end the result is always the same. It's a nice idea in theory if you completely ignore all the game breaking aspects of it. Therefore, it's a dumb idea.

so then we'll have troll groups whose goal would become making a lowsec path to jita and flipping that.. then when that becomes routine and boring the noob areas would be next.. endless griefing..... yeah, that sounds like fun... sic.

Notice that I said some systems, not all. That would break the game. A few strategic systems that would effect trade routes, missions and incursions would be interesting. It would make high sec more interesting and dynamic place to navigate through.

Im sure it wouldn't be too difficult to place restrictions on the types of ships allowed in these volatile systems thus preventing carriers and such from being in high sec when the system gets flipped.

A better idea i think is to have regions of every solar system that are low sec/null sec (badlands) etc, the stronger the concord presence the more regions of high security space there will be, likewise the weaker the concord response the more regions exist beyond their full control (low sec) and regions of no control at all (null sec) within the same solar system.

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...
