Empty corporate contract?

As a new CEO I started building and selling barges to my corpies as a perk. On one of these sales I received the isk but the barge was not received by the corp member and after almost a week CCP informed this person that the contract was empty which I also able to confirmed through my own records. I have perused the forums looking for like incidents but haven't found any yet so I thought I would post and ask publicly if this is possible and if so how?

The one thing I can think of is when you make the contract up you get a prompt asking for what you want to include in the contract which also shows you everything that is available in the station that the contract is created in. This is, in personal contracts anyway, defaulted on the single item you r-clicked on initially to make the contract so question is, can this prompt be automatically set or changed so that nothing is the default and then proceed from there? I don't think so as I have sold several things to my corp through contracts but...?

The contracts system is riddled with bugs. Welcome to EVE, enjoy your stay.

I have personally encountered this particular bug a few times, but only recently, so either I have been lucky or it is a relatively new bug.

If you use the contracts system a lot you will encounter this and several other bugs (or features). The one I particularly dislike is that the finished contracts list does not show all your finished contracts, so you cannot rely on that for replacing finished contracts.

This bug, or mistake is quite simple, You have either made a Corporation contract whit a item in your privat hangar or måde a privat contrat from The Corp hangar...

Took me some time to learn and advoid that to.

That one is a long standing feature.

But the one I have seen a few times recently is the contract (well formed on creation) loses its content and it is thereafter shown as "unknown" rather than just empty. I have yet to find the exact steps to reproduce it so I would be interested if anyone else has.

I had this a few times untill i figured out where it went wrong from my side.

Basically what happends is you put it on for example private contract and then think 'ah no it needed to be public' , so you remove the 'tick' on private and put it on public.Somehow a lot of the times i can go through with creating the contract then , HOWEVER when i removed the tick from one and swtiched it to the other it just removed the item i had selected to contract.As such i generate the contract but it has no item in it.

It is not a bug and is quite fun to do, leaving the guy at the other end scratching his head.

You simply create a contract like normal, then go back and uncheck the item(s). Then go forward and finish it. The result is an empty contract.

Got it guys, thanks for the input. It was due to the item being in with my personal items rather than in one of the corporate divisions. I didn't think that would work that way since you can pop an x in the "corporation" field when first creating the contract.
