Hello. 3 years ago i felt tired of pirating and wanted a new lease on EVE- but I found that ratting managed to push me to boredom and I quit the game because of it.

Now, I've recently started again due to Dust514 and friends taking interest in EVE. The problem is that I'm now on a -7.5 pirate, trapped in lowsec with no real semblance of how to play. I feel i can't even undock and setup my overview settings. I don't have my alts or a corporation to bring me goods, and I am very unsure in my ability to ninja rat.

I feel trapped and I don't even undock from my lowsec prison. What am I supposed to do? What can I do? I feel like quitting EVE again and I haven't even been playing more than a week.

Can someone please help me? I don't need isk or anything.. I don't know

you can now buy tags on the market or get from kiling some rats to raise sec standing iifc.

im not sure what they are called as ive never needed to use them

also you can train alt on one of your free slots to bring you goods

Yeah, you're right the goods thing I should be able to fix. My third account has a prowler or whatever the cloaking haulers are called. MWD has a thanatos as well so I should be able to move stuff to a nearby area and clone jump and jump my thanatos..

There's tags I can buy to fix sec status?

you can take a pod, shuttle or fast frigate into hisec in relative safety.

Using tags can be expensive, use this to help you estimate the cost. https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/sectags/ Keep in mind that through normal ratting, moving from -7.5 to -5.0 is slightly easier than going from -5.0 to -2.5.

Before spending hundreds of mil on tags, I would get a stealth bomber with torps, or failing that some cheap high dps cruiser or a cloaky t3, and try to get sec up the regular way. The standard method is to blow up one rat battleship per system (preferablay high value), then move to the next system, and continue for awhile, and watch your sec status go up. You can do this in lowsec, but you might have better results in nullsec. You should have empire access in no time.

If you have isk, you can probably just fly to molden heath or fw zones in a shuttle, and not worry about sec status at all.

Yes, the clone soldier tags actually show up in low sec belts in well, clone soldier NPC's.
You will need a fair bit of them, and will take some time to acquire, if you rat for them.

But you can buy them at any major trade hub from players, and I have seen player sell orders at a lot of the Concord stations where they can cashed in.

The lower the sec status of the system, the more effective the tag is on repairing sec status.
I believe you cash them in in batches of 10, but could be wrong on that.

http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Overview_Guide

Section "Organizing Your Screen Layout", step 2 details on how you can set up your overview without having to undock. There are plenty of guides out there on how to set-up your overview correctly.

Alternatively you can undock, create a few safe spots somewhere in space and then set up your overview. Have d-scan open and check for combat probes. If you see combat probes out just warp from safe to safe and you should be fine.

Hope this helps.

I've looked into the prices for the tags and it's something i can afford! :)

You guys have all been a real help.. I'm glad i didn't get total "can i has your stuffs" posts ahahah.
Should be back in highsec and figuring this game out in no time.. Wonder why CCP didn't have these tags sooner?

Clueless as usual and too stupid to look it up.

I looked it up

x4 trainer tags -10 to -8
x6 recruiter tags -8 to -5 (these ones are about 4m)
x6 transporter tags -5 to -2 (these ones are about 35m)
x4 negotiator tags -2 to 0 (these are about 26m)

concord also charges 5m isk per tag transaction, and the stations are located deep in lowsec from what I saw.

I'm not 100% certain on the prices but they should be close to what I saw in Jita.
Also, I'm sure nobody really cares but I undocked and started flapping around and realized that I still remembered everything- even though it'd been 3 years. I could probably keep pirating tbh ahaha... woops.
