Wow, brutal. Stop being poor... Heheh, yeah. Well, since some of us have jobs, mortgages, kids, sex lives, etc, we don't have the time to devote to grinding hours per day. I figured this would be a way to get more people into PvP by letting them try it out without poking into a .4 location just to get annihilated the first time by gate campers and lose interest in the game. Maybe limit the number of places where these occur, and have a buy in price to play that goes to the prize money, as well as competition "decorations". But hey, I guess if it limits the opportunities for gankers to prey on the newbies, we can't have that.

Wow, how much time out of your week does that mortgage take? Mine is something like 15 seconds, just to make sure that "autopay" is checked (don't want to drop sov, after all). I have all of the "time constraints" that you listed (in addition to a 2 1/2 hr commute each day), and I still make enough money to fly T2 and get it blown up. This is EVE, HTFU and stop making excuses; especially about money.

Yes, I have all those things too. If you can't figure out how to make ISK without grinding then you could buy a couple of plex for about $35 (since you have a job). This will convert to two plex which can be sold on the market for about 1.25B. This will buy you over 100 T2 fit T1 frigates and at least double that in cheaper meta 3 versions. That will keep you going for quite a while, even in RvB or lowsec.

This is the only time I have done the grind since my tutorial missions. I make my money on the market. It does not take much time at all as long as you don't get sucked into the 0.01 ISK game.

Zappity's Adventures for a taste of lowsec and nullsec.

to OP. NO!!!!

Eve is a game of consequences.. Do not want to loose your ship? Then try to not get into a fight or do not even undock.

Eve is a game about loosing the ships. Learn that and improve your experience tenfold. All the excitement come sfromt he fact that you MAY loose a ship and that you managed to NOT loose it.

Let me explain somethign simple to you and to several others. Gankers donot care on noobs! Gankers and mercs prefer to hunt Older players! That fly shiny expensive ****. We usually do not even pursue real noobs because its not worth the effort of clicking !!!

So stop with that MYTH that gankers are trying to grief noobs.

There's already dueling feature, why not organize an arena yourself and try to make living off entry fees?

As much as I disagree with the OP slightly, I feel they are onto something.

Maybe each race / region has a "battle royal" style arena. People can go there to fight / dual as solo or small gangs and make a name for themselves. Other Pilots can watch & maybe bet on who is going to win.

Have a leaderboard in each region and at the end of the year the top 2/3 teams are automatically entered into an New Eden Tournament for best solo pilot.

If its moderated then you can enter into different ship classes.

The winners or leaders can be splashed across the regions billboards...

Thanks, there is some interesting info here. I don't want to go the plex route, feels like cheating. And I have noticed that the ability to make a lot of isk is like a snowball. People making a lot are high in level, where the ability to make a lot is much easier. Getting to that point takes a long time. So in order to give the PvP experience at lower levels, figured this could be an option. Just funny to see such hostility from people who could just not use a feature they don't like.
