Toxic cloud weaponized

Allow the use of a toxic cloud in lowsec and nullsec as a weapon. What would this weapon be used for?

Mainly to damage or destroy smaller ships and haulers, once deployed the toxic cloud effect is system wide. Any stealth bombers will immediately be affected by it's effects and begin taking damage, they will need to de-cloak to repair or leave the system. The cloud can be deployed by multiple players making it last longer and be more potent, however the stronger the effect the more damage everyone will take, friendly and enemy ships alike since it is system wide.

Those who solo play will most likely die, those in teams will survive. This weapon would work against spies and as tool for gate camping.

Uh, no.

To quote Douglas Adams:
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

Yet more proof the nullsec carebears want a 100% safe system for themselves but will still cry about risk vs reward

What you wrote doesn't even make sense, did you just copy and paste this from someone elses post?

This is a bad idea, but what you wrote is just non-sensical.

I see the intent of the suggestion (read: a way to murder afk cloakers), but it's still a ******** suggestion. Poison? In space? As a cloud? A cloud that instantly spreads out to fill the whole system? A cloud that instantly fills a whole system and does damage to everyone in it?

The appropriate response to a suggestion this awful is "What are you smoking?"

yea not supported, doesnt really fix much, works against spies? you obviously dont know how spieing works, works against afk cloaks? causing cloaks to use fuel is a better choice, would also allow you to wait out botters then probe/destroy, not to mention theres no way to make something fill up a solar system from the sci fi keyword SCIENCE point of view, only particle streams from the sun fill up a whole solar system, making an item 10k m^3 that you fire into the sun to trigger a CME (coronal mass ejection) that decloaks ppl makes more sense...but then again just making cloaks need fuel is better

Common, this isn't only dubious from a gaming point of view, it can't even be explained with game lore.

How can some toxic cloud damage hermetically sealed spaceship designed to withstand temperature below boiling point of nitrogen and pressure proof to almost the same extent as a submarine?

And how it can spread system wide, one poster above correctly said the space is enormously vast. In terms of distance, one AU is a distance from sun to earth, and light takes about eight minutes to travel it. How can some gas cloud spread, then?

1 AU = 149,597,870.700 ± 0.003 km ≈ 92,955,807.273 ± 0.002 mi ≈ 8.317 light minutes ≈ 499 light-seconds

Also how can you fit that much mass into a ship to deploy a system wide gas cloud? Presumably some amazing "gravity" or "singularity" cargo extender tech that requires little to no energy to allow for the volume, pressure, heat and mass to be stored and controlled?

As the idiom goes, the OP has their "Head in the clouds".

My spaceship flies straight through planets and stars at faster than lightspeed and doesn't even creak.

I don't think it needs to worry about some chemicals in a cloud.

I, too, think that solo PvP is overpowered and that gatecamping needs to be boosted.
