Does it allow to insta kill in one shot?

Mostly it allows two extra locked targets and rarely gets used for anything else. It will target hostiles though. At least in theory. I'm not sure anyone has bothered to turn one on in the last few months to check.

Now that I think about it, what are the chances this causes issues with your MTU being shot by neutrals Shocked

It's kind of helpful in Buzz Kill; Dual boxing I don't have to lock up the spawns with one of my ships, just turn it on and keep cycling the guns, the ship that gets aggro autolocks everything. Helps with the clickfest of some other up close and personal rat heavy missions.

Things that keep me up at night;  Why do we use a voice communication device to send telegraphs? Moore's Law should state, Once you have paid off the last PC upgrade you will need another.

It's useful when you want to kill drones humping you but don't want to bother with targeting them, this will just lock them for you... When you turn it off, it drops all targets it acquired, so you get rid of locked drones quickly, if you need target slots.
Not that bad a certainly better heatsink than salvager :)

What Janna said, stick it on a ship like a Taranis or Dramiel to kill hostile Warriors II deployed on your ass.

The only thing worth adding however, is to use a T1 version. It does pretty much the same and costs only 1cpu, compared to the T2 one that costs 35 cpu.

The answer to the question is no.

To find out what it is good for, look at all the wonderful posts above.

What about when you try to gate camp?
A new ship shows up, no need to target it, it's auto-targeted.
Launch firepower by trigger command, or find one that auto-triggers, or use a smart bomb?

It doesn't speed up my targeting lock yet.

It has to be turned on to function.

I have to upgrade my targeting lock speed skills.
