Every time I try and start the launcher it takes me to an internet page that reads, 502 error It appears the website you are trying to visit has technical difficulties or is no longer available.

Couldn't download rubicon patch, I got it through a thread here and got eve running 30 minutes before downtime, but now its asking me to download a 6mb hot fix or something and it makes me download it through the launcher. I ran the repair tool, and it said everything was fine. Any way to get around this?

I have been having the same issue, when I try to launch the game from steam or the base client I get the 502 error and the game says that it cant find the web address. I sent a bug report several days ago and I have yet to receive a response.

I am a relatively new player and this issue with the launcher has me concerned about the stability of the game, if this is what my first impressions of it are.

I am getting the same thing. is there any word on if and when this will be fixed or what we should do? I have uninstalled and re installed the game 3 times already, ran the repair tool three times as well. What the hell is going on here?

Yep nothing working for me either. Game worked fine till this last update, I have another thread where Im trying to explain this, but it seems to be falling on deaf ears.
As usual, people always assume its the persons computer, never the game. Yet everything else on my computer still works fine, other games, etc.
I tried what I could fine, nothing works. Tried reinstalling, that fails to. Really?

And of course it happens when i no skill in training.

Currently login in with one account, cant launch the game with a second client (Play button is grey, was showing as offline)

EDIT: Is it DDOS ?

What geographical area? This looks like a routing cache issue.

workign for me now. (Australia)

EDIT: Well working in that i can login, skill training is bugged, have a skill that shows a skill as COMPLETION IMMINENT, and it was stopping my next skill from starting.

this 502 error is also happening to me as well, idk what the hell is going on all i know it was acting fine when i last logged in 2 days ago and now it wont load the launcher screen

the same thing with me, then I tried to log on yesterday and I get the 502 error. I understand it is a gateway error so I reset my router and it still wont work. My roomate is running XP and his Eve client is working fine. and when I try to run just the exe file it tryes to run the damn launcher again.... this is getting really frustrating and I dont want to pay for a game I cant even play... CCP can we get a response at least?

well I got the game to launch with the run menu with CCP\EVE\bin\exefile.exe. I hope I dont have to use this every single time I want to play the game but I am in at least.

same things happening to me. this maybe completely unrelated but have any of you recently downloaded any thing like patches for other games? because this didn't happen to me till after I did.

I FIXED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



Check your computer and see if you have a program called "browsersafeguard" you have to go to control panel and uninstall programs to get rid of it because it doesn't have an uninstall icon in its root folder. please let me know if it fixed your guys problem im curious.

may I tell you guys that if you have browsersafeguard on your computer you would have a bigger problem than Eve not starting??

Unfortunately I can tell Eve is not working.. and it has nothing to do with other programs :/ being those bad or not
