LTE and logging into eve systems, WTF?

This is getting so ******* annoying.

Always when I log in, I have to write my character name. Because I haven't logged in from this IP. Well my IP is CHANGING everytime I log into internet!

CCP, seriously, why you are torturing people with this nonsense?

100 Mbps 4G connection here...far from awful. Actually better than my old 100 Mbps cable. Got antennas at roof, reception is pretty nice Blink

Wired internet connections are so last decade. Seriously.

Agreed. The idea is very nice but there really should be a middle ground. Let the feature be optional, and/or add something similar to what facebook uses.

i have to write my character name every time i log on, but it's not a big deal

someone jumping into my account management and learning real-life details or stealing my account is a bigger deal

It... it... Oh, god. Like, it has nothing to do with LTE. It's the end application (the EVE forum) which uses IP based protection to confirm your identity. I mean, how can it be LTE's fault? If you want a static IP use VPN through LTE or ask your operator to enable a static IP address for your particular subscription through the PDN-Gateway.

Even better, these forums should allow you to disable that feature.

Yeah I like a medium with a maximum localised frequency that dictates the available that I get to time/code share with 1000 other people and as an added bonus the error rate shoots as high as the mood every time someone coughs or an owl farts.

The stupid is strong with this one.
