I know they were once allowed in high sec and there were some problems.

That said I would love to see the topic revisited as they have became a more common ship for use in EVE then they had been years ago. I assume empire mission gates are locked to keep cap ships out but even if they are not I am sure that would be a simple undertaking to change that. I would love to see this given some discussion at the very least.

I am not a capital pilot but I thought non supers could use gates. That said it would not be too much for CCP to add that ability to the gates to allow if this was something they were willing to consider. I just think it could be cool to see capitals in all of EVE, not just low and null.

Just a friendly word of advice OP... try using a capital before your propose something like this. Or just crunch some numbers in EFT. And then remember that people organizations the New Order and Marmites (along with other war dec corps) exist.

It'll quickly become apparent why capitals were banned from high-sec.

I do not fear their return, because to me and my dastardly carebearing ways, they can't possibly be a threat. (actually my threat are the roving gangs of tornadoes who shoot first, check to see whether I had any decent mods later, I just wish I could add the suicide bombers to my killboard. Yall need to learn, golems have more EHP than CNRs you need another couple nadoes to alpha 1 down before concordokken).

I fear their effect on the newbies, nothing more. Because to me, survival in the game shouldn't be a synonym to getting absorbed by a larger group and becoming nothing more than a number.


On a separate note. Since their inception, (or maybe about 2 months after their inception) Dreads and Carriers have never been a "rare beast" Titans yes, it took them a while to show up, and they were never intended to be anywhere near as common as they are now... or should I say, used to be. (I know theres still tons, but man, 70 someodd of them downed in 1 battle)

Lets just remove non-covert cyno's in 0.2 upward, but allow local construction!

If anything we need more capital poor space!

Jump freighters need an exception, they should even be allowed to cyno in High Sec IMHO.

but if we keep this idea about letting people light a cyno in high sec then give titans their old dooms day back imagine how cool that'd be!!

Honestly, my opinion on caps in highsec is tied into freighter size limits: why must there be a hard cap on freighter cargo capacity so that disassebled caps can't be brought into highsec, and why can't caps be brought into highsec and just not assembled there?

I mean, I don't see why we can't move capital markets into the highsec markets, and I don't see why we can't gank people trying to drag Moros' out of Jita in their freighters. I think we could get some good laughs out of this. Can't be all that hard to set things up so if you try and assemble a cap in 0.5 or higher you get an error message much like when you attempt to bomb in empire space.

I don't think that idea is thought through.

There are reason they are banned form highsec, and I thing those reasons are good.
Of course I thought about how cool it were to jump around in a carrier and do funny things in Highsec, but it wouldn't be fun for long and rather ruin the balance.

Even the construction and travelban is very important. Otherwise you could simply "hide" those things in HS and keep them of your enemy from Null.
If you want war with big ships you need to accept the disadvantages of those, like vulnerable construction and parking etc.

I'm proposing an idea of new areas of low sec space where Capital ships cannot enter.
Basically to limit the big boys and their toys away from the pvp fun. Back to the old days of eve. Forced by some thing to limit caps out of new culsters of low sec space.

And on the topic of OP why not.. but only make it so that it's temporary in few special systems.
And that the capital ships could for some reason only target war targets.
