Runtime Error: Crashing after 2 or 3 warps since patch

Same runtime error here.

However, only one account seems to be effected. Using the same launcher on the same computer, only one account continually crashes within 5 minutes of log in, the other remains open. A pc reboot and only running the "crashing" account did not solve the problem.

This problem also did not occur immediately. It was an hour into playing, and more than 20 warp/jumps, that crashes started to happen.

OP: Mind renaming this topic to "Runtime Error" or something? Seems to be the issue here whether it's related to warping or not.

I played as much as was playable last night. Here's what seems to be the case for me in more detail:

If I warp around in any given system without using a jumpgate or docking, it will crash on me after the second or at most the third jump.

If I dock or use a jumpgate before the crash occurs, like if I'm just warping once through a system, it doesn't crash. It's like it resets the number of warps I can make before I crash. I made 7 jumps to Jita and back without crashing.

But as soon as I make that second or third warp, I'm out. Doesn't matter what ship (this has happened in my Stratios, Kryos, and shuttle). Doesn't matter what system.

There was another Patch today, seems like the Problem is still around though.
I ve made some test-warps, it looked to be okay. Then I started a mission and it crashed again. -->CCP..exe file blabla doesnt respond

Really hope this will be fixed soon. Purchased DayZ today , but EVE makes actually more fun ;)

EDIT: So, not everybody is affected by this issue. There should be much more players complaining, if so. Whats wrong with our systems?

Me too...

My video driver often crashes pre and post warp since Rubicon 1.1. Never had this issue before. Gets me crazy because I can't get out the emergency warp out spot at the moment. Game crashes as soon as my ship tries to warp back to its original point and this is almost right after start up. Can't do anything with this alt. EvilEvilEvil Luckily I’m training a 20 day skill…

I have 3 accounts by the way. With one of them I got also the same problem as with this account. After various tries spread over multiple hours I managed to get out of the emergency warp crash cycle with that account. I haven't tested my third account but I assume it's the same.

Actually I'm Stuck in space. In final course to approach one gate, a graphic display recovery from W7-64 occures with interface frozen and black screen
Now today, impossible to come online.

Failure.

I'm having the exact same problem ever since 1.1. I filed a petition and sent them a minidump file. Hope this gets fixed soon. I could be mining for two hours filling up my orca and as soon as I warp to a new belt, BAM! Runtime error and kicks me to desktop.

I thought it was hardware related at first but after running tests, specially memory tests with memtest86, everything comes back clean. Tried repair tool as well with no luck.

Same problem here. It is disrupting my ability to do covert ops, has almost gotten me killed by sleepers several times, and continues to knock me out of cloak and logs me off while going after enemy units.

This is causing the game to be unplayable for me.

It really makes EVE unplayable. It is not just a mere annoyance, but a critical problem. When will it be fixed? No one can say. We should receive refunds for every day that this continues.

Maybe this can be of some help for people that are really stuck... I adjusted all graphic settings to lowest in the character selection screen. After that I was finally able to break the warp crash cycle. After that I maxed the settings out again. I even thought I solved it because I played for a whole hour without any problems and warped at least 20 times. But after that hour the video driver crashed again in warp and 10 minutes later again. Aaaaargggg Evil But lowering video settings might do the trick until CCP fixed this...

Oh lucky me!

I just so happened to upgrade to a new Radeon HD 7870 at the SAME TIME that the new Rubicon patch came out. Having not played EVE in a few days, this was my first chance since installing my brand new card. Was on a 4870 previously. Big smile

My first warp resulted in a long screen freeze prior to jumping through the gate. When I jumped through the gate, after arriving on the other side there was another very long screen freeze.

I warped to a station and docked.

When I undocked and warped back to the gate, the game froze up and kicked me to the desktop. The client was still up and I could hear the music playing, but Task Manager said the client was Not Responding.

I got back into the game. Jumped through the gate. The 1st jump was okay, but then I warped to another gate, and same thing. Freeze, close to desktop, music playing, client Not Responding.

I thought 'Oh great. So much for my great new video card.Sad "

But now that I see others are having similar problems after the patch perhaps its not my new card. Sadly the coincidental timing is going to have me wondering now. Ugh

I am also getting crashing mid warp. Everytime I log in my ship is in warp and I can't do anything at all. Locks up every time then kicks me out of game. Can't even change my skills.

TEMPORARY WORKAROUND:

I think I found a temporary workaround. I in a previous post I already mentioned that minimizing video settings helps to avoid the warp crash (for me at least). But that wasn’t really a satisfactory solution. So I started to narrow it down.

I found that disabling AA (Anti-Aliasing) solved the problem for me (tested over 1:30h with over 70 jumps over various accounts). It’s not a perfect solution but at least all other settings can stay maxed out.

Hope this helps!

I tried this, but I still experience the runtime error after warping, sometimes as soon as after just two warps.

Going from DX11 to DX9 has helped me to some extent, but it's by no means any substitute.

Thank you! So far so good on crashes ever since I changed AA off. I'm still holding my breath but I have logged around 5-6 hours since my last post with no crashes! I guess time will tell but either way, thanks for your posts. I never thought about monkeying with setting since they worked before 1.1.
