I've always been interested in wormholes since I started playing this game. I'm starting to feel ready to dive in.

However, I have a few questions first:

1) Here's my skills. Is there anything glaringly missing before I head in?

2) With my skills from above, what class wormholes would be best?

3) What's a good corp/alliance that lives in said class of wormhole?

4) Anything else I should know?

I'm aware T3s are pretty much the ideal for wormholes, but I'd rather not have to wait two months of training before heading in- I'll train them eventually, for sure, but I'd hope I can do stuff without them. I imagine with my skills C3s or maybe C4s are ideal for doing with a group, I definitely don't want to solo stuff.

These days, you can be pretty darn effective in wormholes with a lot less than a T3. Since most recently even (active tanking buff), you can do a lot already with as little as a caracal/thorax/vexor in c1/c2-whs, and a proper AB-cruiser can go places.

I'd strongly suggest lvl-4-scanning skills, mining frigate+gas harvesting (to I gets the job done for starters), hacking to III+ and salvaging to III+ asap, on an alt if avaiable. And the ability to fly a helios (gallente frig V + covops IV).

There are no rough guidelines on where you can be useful. Wormholes are a place for fleets, however small, and a well-piloted sentinel (amarr t2 frig) is worth sooooooooooo much compared to yet another all-V-draek. It's really situational, but at 11mil SP you got a good basis set already.

Hope that helps, else BNI does have a very decent wormholegroup - if you aren't aware already. Last I saw them in a c5 with static c3, running anomalies in their static with loads of vexors and augurors. None of them would've been able to do that alone, but together, they could ;)

Else, there are some corporations named in the sticky thread *notable wromhole corps* that are rookie friendly, if you don't fit their profile in a pub chat they'll surely give you another name to talk to.

You need to get scanning supports up. Astrometric pinpointing, acquisition, rangefinding to 3.

You should be able to handle C1 or maybe C2 in a hurricane solo. Watch for system effects and fit your tank appropriately.

With logi backup, you can handle any class, depending on your fleet size. Need more info on rough numbers you can field to give more advice than that.

You really want gas huffing to 5. Its a short skill but more than doubles your yield compared to lvl 4

My alliance has a small, c2 'academy' corp that takes in people new to WHs. You can learn the ropes of WH living while skilling to move into one of the C4/C5 corps.

Looks like you can fly a covops and some battlecruisers, so that be enough to get you started. Definitely get your scanning skills up, they help a lot.

Convo or Eve-mail me in game if you'd like more details.

This is definitely the way to go. Learning from people who are already established in wormhole space makes it far more easy to adapt.

Also, Illusion of Solitude is a good group of dudes. They can teach you the way of wormholes.

This,

There's a lot about living in w-space that's not readily apparent or even disenable by just trying to give it a go. W-space really shines as a fun place with a good corp behind you to help learn the ways and get into fun fights with.

Living with a good group is surely a fun. But relying on others for PvE is imho bad idea. Time constrainst are then too sewere. Especially in wormhole space there often comes times when you have to do something alone.
