Suspect flag for RRing an ally in a war?

Hey everyone. Was just wondering is gaining a suspect flag for RRing an ally in a war (they were wardecced, we entered as an ally) is intended. The person I repped had aggression on the same wartargets that we had and the war was active for both of us at that time. The person I was repping was not at war with any other corp and they did not have a suspect flag, or aggression on anyone who wasn't a wartarget of ours. Since both corps were at war with the same people it shouldn't really count as a neutral interfering in a war, should it? Thankfully I didn't lose a ship to this as I'd noticed I was suspect flagged and was thankfully in a rather quiet location, though it causes the problem of me not being able to properly assist, or spider tank with our allies due to the risk of neutrals blapping all of us due to us being flagged as a suspect.
So, is this working as intended, did I do something wrong, or is this a bug?

If they have other wars running then yes that could have caused your suspect flag.

If they have an aggro timer, war or not, then yes you get a Suspect flag.

If you RR someone that is in combat, and not in your corp/alli you get suspect flagged.
Even if you join all their wars.
=> this is really annoying!

Basically it's a bug. They over simplified the inheritance chain for agro in order to cut down on neutral logi and ended up shafting legal logi.

We have other wars running, but they do not, since it was me giving the RR I figured it shouldn't matter what wars I was in.

In response to the other posts in this thread, I must aggree, this is rather irritating.

While not optimal, better the current way than the previous way.

Its not a bug, as it is working as intended. It is an unfortunate exception that exists in crimewatch 2.0. If it was easy to handle, CCP would have done so.

Never forget.
