I haven't been on Sisi today, because there hasn't been a change in build yet, but the difference you're seeing outside stations might be due to the change of skybox lighting - now that the new nebulae are there...

They hadn't been V3'd when I last checked...

Different system lighting and new shadows… haven't checked Sisi in a while, so maybe they've even V3:ed them on the sly.

It's just a bit of new texturing and the darker lighting coming from distant Nebulae instead of the 'current gas clouds'.

That's all.

Stations have not been changed at all on exterior....much less in size.

New approach to JITA btw : http://dl.eve-files.com/media/corp/attikusf/2011.11.04.21.39.17.jpg

IMHO they really need to DARKEN that Lonetrek Nebula in the background. What happened to 'Dark Caldari Blue' ?? Boo!

They changed a lot of the shaders and lighting in systems.

Why Can't I have a picture signature.

Also please support graphical immersion, bring back the art that brought people to EvE online originaly.

Or short of that, removed it entirely.

This would be really cool. The Jita 4-4 one should just be a complete ring around the moon possibly with multiple docks and undocks but be the same station. So your items hanger, ships hanger, market, corp hangers, and all that jazz are the same no matter which point you docked at. Just undock from whatever point you docked at. Jita station campers might be a bit mad at that though...

It would be slightly awkward if the trade hubs switched around and Jita became less popular and 4-4 was just a randomly huge station. But I don't know why that would happen, maybe WiS changes in 7 years vOv. I do wish different stations had more character. If they gave players the tools to own and customize certain aspects of them that would probably come. But at the moment the NEX store is miles ahead in both importance and innovation, not to mention the most marvelous styles.

I don't really think so. If a station is a trade hub, like Jita, then it gets built up over time as the business grows. If the business suddenly goes away then the station has still have been built up, no changing that. Maybe over time the falls apart from not being used, but I don't see that happening to low-sec stations so no reason for it to happen to trade hubs in high sec. All it becomes is a piece of history.

"Jita was once considered the primary trade hub of New Eden for capsuleers. In recent times Amarr has taken that title and Jita is no longer visited by the mass number of capsuleers it once was. Due to the tremendous growth of the station during its time at the top large numbers of civilians moved to the station to make it their home and work as support staff for the capsuleer operations on board. When Amarr became the new hub and Jita fell from its once glorious place at the top the Caldari mega corporations moved in and made it their home."

That is a terribly description as the mega corporations would already have been there. What CEO in their right mind would not have operations at 4-4 considering the insane amount of traffic. I am at work and don't care to make it any better and it gives you the idea. All that would be needed is a few minutes of some designer or writers time who understands the lore of New Eden and it would all be good. Actually that would make it even cooler. This insanely large station that pod pilots used to visit in mass now hardly ever visited. All that remains is the station itself to serve as a reminder to the glorious time it served at the top. New people who join the game and see that would ask questions and be inspired by what they hear. Not many games offer that. I would like to see Yulai upgraded with like messages as it was once the trade hub of the game before the highway revamp. New pilots will never know that Yulai was once the top along with Luminaire and the others, but they were. :( New Eden needs better tracking of events in EVE for this exact purpose.

ANYWAYS! Back to work with me and enough ranting.

Is it actually a new shader? It looks like just the new nebula and lighting to go with it are the only things to change. The texture and model for the station sure didn't change though.

Yeah, actually I agree that would be cool. I think I was eager to put something in about player owned parts of stations and customization. Maybe CCP could put some sort of formula in that slowly changed stations over time depending on use.

i will agree to the trade stations should be unique

mabe add in a way to pay to have null stations be more epic/do more stuff at some point

All automated intel should be removed from the game including Instant local/jumps/kills/cynos for all systems/regions.Eve should report nothing like this to the client/3rd party software.Intel should not be force fed to players. Player skill and iniative should be the sources of intel.
