Can't refresh expire time of escalation

Each time you warp to the escalation, the expire time will re-set to 24 hours, but it does now work after yesterday's patch.

Confirming that this is an issue. Before the patch, a site would be refreshed for another 24 hours whenever someone warps to the escalation itself, whether it was directly from the Journal or from a player-made bookmark. This could extend the site's life expectancy up to 1 week if the site was kept refreshed.

This is no longer possible after the patch. Any site that is warped to does not have its timer reset, thus requiring it to be run and completed within the very first 24 hours without a possibility of time extension.

Using a weapon as a deterrent in a diplomatic situation is only viable when you have proven that you have deployed it in the past and are willing to use it in the future.

Confirming this as well. I had an FSP dissapear off my timer right after DT and the maze that was left refused to reset its timer no matter how many times i warped to it.

Still a problem. I've lost two Mazes that were contracted to me over the last two days because my client wasn't able to refresh them.

Happened to me as well, just warped to an FSP on my alt and it did not refresh.

I've seen the same issue. Maybe it's a Deklein or Guristas thing judging by how many goons are posting? Incoming CCP nerfed goons threads.

I put in a ticket 2 days ago and still have not received a response of any kind. It would be nice to know if CCP decided to nerf nullsec escalations or if it is merely incompetence.

Well, I'd rather do that than missions to be honest.

I've already lost two escalations because of this bug.

This apparently was a stealth fix... My official response went something like this (I can't quote a GM directly or the quote would be removed according to forum rules)...

Expeditions are designed to be completed in quick and rapid succession and they can end at any time, be it due to hitting a dead end or due to a time limit expiring.

Further inquires and responses went something like...

We did make a change to the escalation timers so they cannot be reset by warping to the site. This was done to make escalations more in-line with the intended design specifications for these type of sites.

As of yet I've gotten no response as to why this change was left out of the patch notes, and why we the players were forced to find out about it in this manner. Also I feel my issue has never been directly addressed by the GM stuff as of yet.

My issue was that the site de-spawned while I was actively running the site. I realized that the site wasn't resetting, so I immediately got the ships and started to run the site. Literally with three battleship left to kill (to complete the site) my timer expired and the site de-spawned. Aside from the Ghost sites I am aware of no other site in the game de-spawns while you are actively running said site, and technically Ghost sites do not de-spawn; they blow up. I mean this change breaks the continuity of the game and throws any reasonable type of immersion into the game out the door (if you are into that). Beyond that it is just frustrating to be so close, and miss an opportunity because you were not informed of a major change to game mechanics by CCP (via the expected places, like patch notes).

I will think about this and propose a change to this new stealth fix of the escalation sites.

As a side note to Ted. As of February 4th This mechanic of resetting sites was still working for me... Therefore it seems this fix was not an intended one, or one that took places on all accounts at the same time if you were having problems on the 1st of February. That might also explain why it was not included in the patch notes. I just wish CCP would come clean with this issue.

Also I wish there would be some public direct response to this issue by CCP or the GMs other than the private responses on the multitude of support tickets they must be receiving. Multiple posts I've seen are either people answering others as I did with summarized response they personally received from the GMs, or unanswered altogether as I found this post and many others. I have yet to find a post on this issue were a GM or CCP responded with any official public word.

*As a side note and as I stated above these are not direct quotes from the GMs. Certain words have been changed, added, or removed to not directly quote them and stay within forum posting rules.
