I will start this thread by saying that, for most of you, there is nothing to see here. This thread is a continuation of another thread on another forum that now needs a new home. If you do not already know who or what Tea Bank is, you probably don't need to know and this thread probably isn't for you.

Now I've got that out of the way...

You can blame Blunter, TLEAFs illustrious, beloved and long retired leader, for the tea theme.

I'm sure most of us old garde MDers have roots in long dead alliances that we still shed a nostalgic tear for every now and then. TLEAF was that alliance for me. I saw it born, I helped lead it, I saw it die and when the time came I looted the body.

I feel a short public service announcement is necessary in case anyone new to these forums should mistakenly think Bobby is a respectable eve businessman: he's not. He is one of the most notorious thieves in the game and if you don't know his name you shouldn't be thinking about investing anything in anyone yet. However, Bobby is somewhat unique amongst eve's pantheon of great thieves in having remained somewhat respectable due to his gentlemanly demeanour and the fact that, unlike most of his fellows, he is not an ********. Just please don't add to the hundreds of billions he has already scammed via MD simply because the OP looks like an attractive ongoing business.

I can't disagree with any of that.

In any case, I will not be touting for investors in this thread.

Tea Bank is a legacy project, essentially a pension fund for the ex-membership of In Tea We Trust. While the fund still grows and new investors continue to join the scheme long after the alliance disbanded, none of the eligible investors will need (or read) a sales pitch from me or a warning from you.

That's not to say I don't think your warning to potential ineligible investors is correct, wise, well meant and expected.

It was clear you weren't touting for business but I thought a head's up might be in order for any ineligible investor who was tempted to contact you directly, as I suspect that if someone ineligible were to offer you an 'investment' you would probably take it ... just not as an investment Blink

I still shake my head when I remember people sending Riethe isk on the basis of a well-written OP even after he had attained his notoriety.

I'm not sure... if people are willing to "invest" in this without being eligible, they'll find something else to "fund" instead.

I would be happy to invest in any investment fund run by Bad Bobby. Despite the funny name, he is a very capable investment manager and totally honorable. Don't let his competitors scare you with unfounded allegations. They are just jelly.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

Not sure how much of your post is a provocation, so I'll say this:

BB would be as a safe investment as it gets as long as you are in a white list of him.

He seems to be one of those guys who are selectively reliable and honest to a certain group (i.e. same alliance, PvP friends etc.) whereas he won't stop at doing anything to "outsiders".

Not just reliable and honest, but also generous, e.g Titans4U meant like a +50% 'bonus' return on whatever was invested (this was before the ongoing project).

Gosh it has been so long sine this 'certain group' assembled -.- I'd request a shareholders+friends fleet but I don't know how to play, not to say anything about game balance overall.

i just locked an open door.. strange, yet symbolically compelling.

It is long overdue that we have an honest investment fund eclipse the peaks of the failed ones. Due to inflation and other factors, I believe a fund can successfully manage 10 trillion or more quite easily, perhaps 100 trillion.
