ok so iv bought drones but I cant figure out how to use them and yes I have trained up I the skills for the scout fighter ones I bought

Make sure you are flying a ship that has a drone bay. You put the drones in the drone bay (not in your ships hold). When you fly out of station with a drone ship, you'll have a small menu for drones. Right clicking on the "drones in bay" folder (or left clicking for the radial menu) will give you the option to launch drones. When you target another ship, right click (or use the radial menu) on the folder in that same menu "drones in space" to tell them to engage the target.

Don't forget to recall your drones when the fighting's done! Otherwise they will be left behind...

Also, expand the "drones in space" so that you can see an overview of your drones health. If they start taking damage recall them to drone bay.
