It looks like its just a trophy ship.

Laser Fit > Beaten by other Laser BS
Drone Fit > Beaten by other Drone BS
Rep Fit > Beaten by Logi
Doing all the things > Beaten by Carrier.

Heck even exploration it is arguably trumped by Covops/other SOE stuff.

The price point is absurd.

I still want one though because i have the other two ships and I like faction BS; and trophies!

Yup, the boat is now a piece of junk.
Every non-bonused hull drone boat is now junk.

The nerf to the Omni's was way way beyond malicious.
I can't wait to see the Fed Navy Omni's selling for T2 prices.

I believe one of the intended purposes was for WH's. Other BS's take a large toll on WH's and you can't really get a carrier into one either.

CODE is just a bunch of pirates; smart, organized pirates. It doesn't help to rage at them because that is exactly what they want. Dust yourself off and get back on your feet, you don't even have to talk to them.

the sad part about the price point is that being tied to SOE LP, the price isn't going to change that much. As long as people fly the stratios and have a use for it, the Nestor will be slaved to that price point. So its not even like low demand for the ship will result in it being more affordable.

True. The Strat is slowly lowering in sell value though.
And when the true horror of the Omni nerf hits home, all drone boats with no hull-based bonused ranges are going to drop like a stone.

I imagine we will see both boats sinking in value very soon.

The show stopper for me is this: it's expensive, and therefore, a gank magnet. If I'm out there exploring for lulz, and using something cheap - and I have the skills and an rig to use cheap - then my status as a target to be hunted is depending on the level of boredom of whoever sees me in local. They might think they have an easy target, or they might have other easy targets, or more important targets.

The Astero and the Stratios can fit covops cloaks and covert cyno. There are other and cheaper ships that can do this, but the threat level of these ships is raised by those capabilities alone, so it gives players other reasons to pop one.

The only reason to pop a Nestor is to green up the KB. Because of this, the Nestor will be hunted, and without covops cloak, it will be more easily hunted.

For the price of a ship that will be hunted solely for KB green, it should have some special ability that raises the threat footprint. If I am to be hunted, I want to be hunted because I'm seen as a threat, not because "ooohh bling boat! we get it we leet! Let's Boomheadshotnoobpag wesol33t naow!".

If it could fit covert cyny, a BLOPS angle, great. Good reason to kill it, because it might bring in more, in spite of the risks. If it could warp cloaked, then that's a lot of firepower sneaking about. Why would it be such a crime for such an expensive ship to have BLOPS capabilities? What, are BLOPS going to get "stepped on"? A ship designed to traverse wormholes that can covert cyno and warp cloaked would be something to fear when it comes in battleship.


So in fear of stepping on some other ship, they made a ship that steps aside. I can't get myself to have one. It's a hangar queen and It'll need a rack of faction hardeners just to keep it from being a gank magnet for Tornado packs in highsec.

If my wonky and unreliable math is correct, that's 2599 ISK/LP, which is less than the Stratios currently brings in (around 2750) and takes 5 times as long to earn.

That site appears to be faulty implemented; the LP cost of the Stratios BPC is 120.000 (not 240.000) and the ISK price is 30.000.000 ISK (not 15.000.000).

I just checked with current Jita BUY orders, giving an ISK/LP ratio of 2.625. Anybody creating a SELL order will get a higher ratio.
