So I want to create an ALT to sell the loot I get from my missions and also to refine some modules without losing any minerals, and since I've never looked at the production/trade part of the game I want to know which skills should i train for this alt.

To refine / reprocess EVERYTHING you need:
* Refinery 5
* Refinery Efficiency 5
* Implant (slot 8): Zainou 'Beancounter' Refining RX-802 [Requires Cybernetics 3 + Science 3]
* 50% base facilities
* 6.67 standing with the corp owning the facilities, to avoid the 5% tax. [Beware of UI rounding.]
With the implant you don't need to train all the material refining skills to get 100% yield.

For trade (selling at a single station):
* Accounting 5, to reduce sales tax.
* Broker Relations 5, to reduce brokerage fees on orders of duration > immediate.
* Standing with the owning corporation of the station you are selling at, to reduce brokerage fees.
* Standing with the owning faction of the station you are selling at, to reduce brokerage fees.
* Daytrading 1, to change orders.
* Trade / Retail / Wholesale / Tycoon for as many sell orders as you need.
* Contracting, if you plan to sell via contracts.

You may want to train for an industrial / deep space transport / freighter to move stuff from your base to a trade hub.

You can run level 3 courier missions to raise standing [Amarr Magnate fitted and rigged for cargo works great for most].

Though more industry focused, this may also be of interest: Basic Skills [The bit on industrials is outdated, though the Bestower is still the largest general cargohold, it no longer requires training Amarr Frigate 3]

You can also use the EVE Skilltracker:
Trade Badge and Refining Badge:

Register your alt char with your API and train the recommended skills.

Gonna slightly hijack this if i may.

Regarding the tax and broker fee's.

At what corp standing level does it cease to matter to increase the corp standings, example as mentioned it is 6.67 for refining, im assuming that the same applies to the trading side of it?
I have no intention of balancing faction standings but corp i can do easy enough.

also, regarding accounting, skill is currently level 3 going to 4, am i correct in thinking that this will always have a certain level of tax on it?

What is the difference between Accounting levels 4 and 5? my current level 3 is 1.05% sales tax. looking at that im assuming it started at 1.5%, level 4 is 0.9% and level 5 0.75% sales tax.

Only your personal standing matters.

Accounting is a simple reduction. Effective Tax = 1.5% * (1 - Accounting Skill Level * 10%)

Account 0: Effective Transaction Tax = 1.5%
Account 1: Effective Transaction Tax = 1.5% * (1 - 1 * 10%) = 1.35%
Account 2: Effective Transaction Tax = 1.5% * (1 - 2 * 10%) = 1.20%
Account 3: Effective Transaction Tax = 1.5% * (1 - 3 * 10%) = 1.05%
Account 4: Effective Transaction Tax = 1.5% * (1 - 4 * 10%) = 0.90%
Account 5: Effective Transaction Tax = 1.5% * (1 - 5 * 10%) = 0.75%

Level 4 to 5 is a savings of 1.5 million ISK per billion.

Thank you, im too tired to do the main math.
I think my post was poorly phrased, my intended meaning was my personal standing to the corps and factions owning the stations.

I was pretty sure about the transaction tax but the broker charge math always confused me. Much appreciated Tau. Not working tomorrow so i can look at the math, was never my strongpoint lol.
