Help - Camera doesn't focus on target

Hi all,

I'm guessing there is a really simple answer to this but for two of my three characters when I click on an item in the overview the camera swings round to centre on it but for the other character it doesn't. I'm guessing I've changed something in the settings for that character but I can't see what it is.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Press "C" to toggle the camera mode. Also wrong subforum.

Check your DSCAN and make sure that Camera tracking is selected (little check box)

Also in selected item window click the little E and there is also an option in there that you may have clicked off at cone point.

Cheers guys. I'll give it a try.

Ria, Just for future information what would have been the right subforum? I did scan down the list but nothing jumped out at me.

C is the keyboard shortcut. There's also a tick box in the scanner window if you get bored of it and turn it off, then find out that it's only partially off.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

This one. You can get all kinds of questions answered there, even if you're not new per se. The crowd is pretty helpful.

This...

Pressing 'C' will give you camera tracking but it will not centre your screen fully on the object selected. This swings the camera around but leaves it slightly offset.

Opeing the Dscan window and making sure Camera Tracking is selected will swing the camera around to centre it directly onto the object selected and not leave if offset slightly.

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."
