Capitals wrecks as monument

Hello o/

I have an idea for the new capital wrecks. It's a change for the atmosphere in eve. I make it short. With the new wrecks we have the chance to have huge monuments in space created by players. I imagine it like this...when we had a large battle with dead capitals and supercapitals it would be nice when the wrecks would be there for ever!

But not every capital wreck would be affectetd by this. Only wrecks from a large battle with over 5 or 20 or 50 dead capitals and supers. This is for the fact that eve is not full of capital garbage after one year.^^ Also the wrecks will be able to be normal salvaged or destroyed. But after the downtime on the position of the fight a monument with all the capital wrecks will appear.

CCP can combine this monuments than with the Killmails. CCP can create new "special" missions for the Empire guys with those monuments.

For example:
Hey guy please bringe me some salvage frome the wreck of xxx frome the battle of T-AKQZ for the museum of amarr prime.!

I know this is not one of the big changes everyone want from CCP. But for me the atmosphere in a game is a big part. It would be nice to have memories in space, new missions into the 0.0 for the empire guys. When i imagine a fight in a system where is a monument...the fleet clashed together over the monument, the small ships fight each other in the middle of this old wrecks full of memories. Ahh what a nice imagination.

To be honest, it's not a bad idea. Limit it to supercaps though, losing five dreads isn't a huge fight.

And I quite like the mission idea too. +1 from me.

I like the idea, basically anything they do to take advantage of this change is good Lol.

But the vision i have for these new wrecks revolves around salvaging.Like making each wreck very hard to salvage and make it contain lots of salvage where 10-15 pilots must salvage for more than 10 min or so to get all the loot.
Imagine a huge battle that leaves hundreds of capital wrecks and in its wake hundreds of pilots pour into the system to mop up in huge salvage operations.
All in all this is probably not viable, but a man can dream Big smile.(perhaps when ccp revamps salvaging they will implement something of the sort with static capital wrecks in the form of warpable sites).I do hope they implement something regarding these new wrecks else it's just wasted potential Shocked

I'm fairly sure caps and supers already give massive amounts of salvage.

No, because any system with massed super losses will be crawling with survivors picking off one another's relogging caps until two or three days after the fight.

Eventually space would be littered with wrecks

at this point not even titans are very impressive. The most surprising thing about a titan wreck is that someone actually used it for something else than bridging. And part of the problem is that fights usually take place at specific places like gates, not in deep space

I think this is a fine idea, but only for truly epic battles - e.g. BR-5 - it should become a monument and a static salvaging site. Loot could range from metal scraps 99.999% of the time to T2 salvage to mods such as those used on ships of that type.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Stop with all these monument requests. How about add more legitimate interactive content for people between gates and stations instead of just more eyecandy which will quickly get boring.

Come on, the B-R monument request was something special. For a random super or what not? nah.... But B-R was special. It deserves it for several reasons:


75 Titans dead
370 some Dreads
120 Some carriers
Both alliances intentionally didn't crash the node
Lotta others.


For a random Super dying? Nah......


But for significant fights? Examine Case by Case.
