1. SNI is the easiest of the four to mission with, due to its exceptional tanking ability as well as its lowish skill requirement. Its strictly better for newer players, but you have to pay a lot for it.
2. Raven with do exactly the same job as an SNI, but will cost you a little (not much, due to a changes in tank module metas) less. You need more ingame skills and PvE knowledge for the standard raven due to its lower tank.
3. CNR will do a better job than a SNI or a T1 Raven, because it has a damage application bonus. It will cost you about the same as the SNI.
4. Golem with outdo them all, but will cost you a lot and you also will need to invest more skills for it to be as good.
That is all.

I think I need to stand up or the SNI.

Although what you say is correct. there is a serious advantage to it. considering it equel to the normal Raven is just not true.

The SNI has Superior CPU and Powergrid, to the raven and the RNI/CNR as well.

I needs to fit fewer Launchers and Shield related modules which are both heavy on CPU and or Power Grid.

that doesn't only make it easy to fly it with just a T2 fit, when you start to use Faction and or DED Space mods which are a must on the Ravens because the heavy payload on CPU.

and instead fit them on The SNI, you're able to fit multiple support and damage mods.

Target Painters, Target signal enhanchers, Drone Damage mod, Drone Range mod, ect.

Bringing it's damage over 1000DPS with a good projection, more than the Standard Raven can Handle and Project and about the same a CNR/RNI can do against lower cost.

That doesn't mean it's the best, but it's seriously better than some people proclaim.

take that with the fact that the Ravens are faster targeted for ganking than that Scorpion, due to it's resistance and reputation.

So assuming I've got all relevant skillz (including Marauders) trained to 5, a cruise Golem is better than a cruise RNI?

(I tried a corp Golem once - total disaster. I need long-range missiles.)

The Golem is a good ship, is it a need for lvl '4's? Absolutly not, Will it (Cruise Golem) do the missions faster than the Faction Battleships, in some cases (short missions where you loot aswell). but in larger missions with lots o wreck it might be faster to reship in a Noctis.

A Torp Golem will seriously top the damage the Faction ships will do though it will need to go to reinforce mode to get a good range, and that takes time.

I think we agree man. I said that the Raven can do L4s as well as an SNI, but you need more skill and knowledge to do so. I personally love my SNI more than the other Caldari missile ships (its ******* gorgeous, and I have a lot of fun with it both for PvE and PvP), but when you factor in mission turnaround times, the two hulls do pretty much the same job....well, at least for me that is..

A correction though, the raven has the same PG the SNI has, the same capacitor bank, and a little less CPU (which is balanced by having one less slot).

But the SNI need less cpu, slurping units, the extra tank means less need for shield mods who usualy feast on cpu

on a side note I used your mail because you set things out, the reaction was more to other people calling it useless.

I think it should be pretty obvious by now that all are very solid ships. It is going to come down to which you like better and your skills. Personally I go back and forth between a Tengu and a Golem. Even though the Golem does more DPS than the Tengu, the missions times are very similar. By be because I have to 'fly' the Tengu a little more so I am doing something (makes the time go by faster), may be because the Tengu's Heavy missiles are better at killing frigs and cruisers. May be that I just enjoy flying the Tengu more than the Golem. No telling.

Anyway, just fly what you like to. Something tells me that if you flew 10 missions back to back with all the ships mentioned above, there would be less than about 10 minutes difference. Assuming equal skills.

Just my 2 isk, hope it helps.

Heavy missiles?*shudders* .

I prefer HAMs on a tengu as it moves fast enough to make proper use of them (but then i am VERY bitter towards HMLs).

the armageddon, not really a missile boat, but hey, it can use them, if you have good drone skills it goes well too....
