somebody needs to better explain bounty

i read the wiki.
20% of value.
well, either that's not true or somebody doesn't know how to program math.
Direct, in-game quote:
Total worth: 10,088,771 ISK
Pend insurance estimate: 4,133,600 ISK
Bounty Paid out: 76,254 ISK

So,
explain this, please.
76,254 is 20% of 381,270 ISK

Somebody please advise. this makes no sense at all.

1. Were you in fleet?

2. What was the original bounty level on the player (was it higher than the value of the destroyed items)?

not in a fleet. flying solo.
bounty was approximately 101,000 ISK
so no, the bounty was much lower than the original value

i figured it out.
apparently there is a strange lag.
The bounty pays is said to have paid out but it doesn't actually happen until the next time you log in.
I was continually trying to calculate the by bounty and ship value while suicide missioning myself into a crazy -0.4 zone and the numbers didn't line up at all. this confused me more and more so i kept buying more ships trying to figure out what the heck is going on. Finally i thought, hmm, log in and out again and the numbers lined up.

So I guess the real question is, why does it take so long to actualize the bounty, then?
If i put something up on the market, and somebody buys it, the transaction is immediate, or nearly so.

Isn't it 20% of destroyed items value, not 20% of total value on the KM?

Pretty sure this is true.

If it's not destroyed (and can be looted) you don't get paid for it.
