Drone repair bay on the super

I was thinking it would be great if you guys gave us a Drone repair bay on the super. It would need nanite repair paste to work. You only can repair 5 fighters or bombers at a time. The drones will go into a repair mode until done and transfer back in to the drone bay in a deploy mode.

+1 Because its a really cool suggestion. The fact that the timer takes place makes it less cool to use in combat and remaining the ability to do it with remote repairs and without paste.

Lol, lol, lol.

Not laughing at your suggestion btw, it's brilliant.

While docked, drones and fighters should be able to have nanite paste applied.

Getting you on your feet.

So you've further to fall.

Interesting idea but it looks like an effective increase in DPS / drone bay size. Recall damaged figher / FB - place in repair bay - launch replacement - rinse & repeat. The drone bay limit on supercaps coming with Crucible effectively reduces their dps and / or increases the risk of fighter / FB loss.

Would you prefer to consume nanite paste to cap (remote rep) to repair drones. Also I haven't done the calculation but is 5min equivalent to repair time with cap remote rep?

Am I missing something?

Yes i would prefer to consume nanite paste because the cap sucks on supers and locking time it to long for some thing that small.

I'm +1 to this idea without restriction to Supercaps.

If you bought a car @ 20 times the price of the next tier down, you'd better damn well hope it has some nifty **** going on besides.. no hang on, they are really OP.

But still, in a real bay, like galactica (or a real boat) ****'s getting repaired all the time, that's the chief's job.

Forgetting that you can't see which ones are damaged in your bay. But I like the idea. Even better if it was automatic in all ships drone bay, without using paste.

How to fix your own drones without docking:

Carry repair drones.

Let out your damaged drone(s)

Target hurt drone(s).

Have repair drone(s) engage hurt drone(s).

All your drones now have armor to full. Shields reps auto.

What exactly is the issue?

I agree with you that the locking time for your own drone is too long (particularly in a SC). It seems silly that you don't "know" where the drones you control are. Maybe an instalock for your own drones / fighters / FBs would be a way to solve (at least part) of the issue. This would also have a flow on effect for sub caps and I can't see that it would have a negative impact on other aspects of the game.

you just forgot the part of the patch notes where it says SC now can only carry fighters and F-bombers.
so no logistic drone for that
