INB4 lock, move, or post cleaning.

You really think someone would do that? Just log into EvE and tell lies?

I hope she'll want to educate you about what the word "demand" means and how prices don't actually magically rise when there is a lack of it.

I can think of a better idea almost instantly.

Let people be able to boobytrap wrecks. First person to open it takes damage in an aoe.

Drive the salvage market up some.

Or, screw it, spacemines, like the good old days.

It's really too bad that there isn't a forum just for new features and ideas.

That is the exact opposite of how that works.

Higher supply + lower demand = low prices.

Lower supply + higher demand = high prices.

Look at Veldspar. Everyone and their grandmother mines that, so it's dirt cheap. Arkonor and Mercoxit in High-sec are at a premium, as the two ore are limited by the wills of Null-sec and J-space residents as to whether to allow a ship to mine them or to carry them to High, thus limiting supply.

Edit: Also, I had a more informative post ready, but the forums ate it. So you get this.

ah ... no

Generally the mineral prices settle more or less around a similar ISK/hour across the minerals. If a particular mineral provides more ISK per hour people will switch to mining it. More often than not Veldspar, which is easy to find, easy to sell, mines quickly and you can fit a lot in a hold is the best ISK/hour.

It takes major change/disruption like the Goons various Ice interdictions or the recent increase in Veldspar yields in null to have much effect on prices at all.

@ the OP --- > what about all those funky sleeper wrecks and other ship types players cannot normally access ? How are you going to handle that ?

Zombied Ships flying around in EVE ? Anything zombie introduced into this game will have me cancelling all 4 accounts immediately.

I will support zombie ship gameplay in Eve as long as I can have plant-based ships in which to fight the zombie ships, and also will require use of a facebook notification mechanic to let all my friends, relatives, aquaintances, people I don't know, people I should know, people I might be interested in meeting, friends of friends of friends of friends whos mom has a second cousin on facebook know how many zombie ships ive killed via plant-based ship mechanic and post them to my facebook wall with an invition to also play Eve.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

... and you can play for "free" but the better plant based ships are special and need real world micro-transactions before you get access :D

Well ...

To be honest, I hate that too. A lot. People in this forum display why humanity is on a downfall. Bigtime. Just think about the children these people are allowed to have. It's frightening to even think about it.

That being said ... you're no better. Besides you obviously being a troll, you just display outright stupidity. You can't get a single sentence right. Not one. It's disgusting.

No.

However speaking of wrecks, it would be kind of cool if CCP started introducing unique wreck models for subcaps.
