I don't know where to go with this one. So I'll just say that whoever felt that the value of this game was time is the winner.

Edit: Remember. Just like on "Who's Line Is It Anyway," the points do not matter.

Chi? Seriously? Can we get a Chi rating scale? Maybe throw League of Legends and Planetside 2 on there so we can get a feel for the Chi?

I would say - no.

Every nieche and chore you have mentioned is allready being done by players.

Thats what makes this a player driven game - sand box.

Some aspects, like hauling stuff, are less then exciting. But they are like the by design. And they should stay that way.
Untill20+ Tornados show on your overview Lol

Fixing something that isnt broken has never been a good idea.

It is this difficulty of the game that separates EVE from rest of MMO herd.

The only thing I would say I like about your thread is the scanning idea. But i'd make a new deployable, that last x amount of time, and takes a while to scan. So for example, you log onto eve to check your mail because your wife is giving you that 'get the hell off now we gotta go shopping' look (what no one else gets that?) so you deploy one of these, and they will scan your system for you and give you the results. But as I said, WAY slow, and they will pop after an hour or two. So its not automated and you need to be logged back in before its done. The rest... honestly how hard is it to log in, set destination, undock, hit the a and walk away. I have done this many many times.

Actually, yeah.

The X-series is what got me into EvE.

And I'm not the only one, either.

IMHO, problem isn't that EvE ripped of X-series. It's that it didn't rip it off enough.
