Everyone said come to Null.

So we all got interceptors and did just that and had great fun for a while.

But instead of being pleased we were finally coming to null and doing "proper PvP" the null alliances complained to CCP about it and got our interceptors nerfed as of next patch :D

You just cannot keep some people happy.

The core problem we've been trying to rid you silly pubbies of is 'risk aversion' which the interceptor changes did nothing to address. There's no risk when you can align and warp anywhere before the node can even register the fact that someone at a gate camp tried to lock you.

True ... but you must admit you got a lot more hisec people ninja looting and being annoying in null for a while :D

Why Null sec population is stagnant? It is not "stagnant" it is empty. Look at the map.

So the question for me is how to get traffic into Null?

The perfect place for PVP, no concord, no gate/station guns and yet the PVPers hardly go there (except for pre planned huge fleets). On any given hour of any given day the majority of Null systems are EMPTY.

You can't get in and live in, except by kissing ass, renting or trying to join the very meta game that is make Null a barren desert.

It's a bloody sadness.

Solutions? I don't know; bubbles are a propblem, no base to keep ships is a problem, Sov is a damn problem. If Null was easier to fly in, low would be too and more pilots would venture out of high, this seems obvious to me. I would love to explore in Null and see all of New Eden (and this is from the pilot who has flown all around the outside of New Eden, round Null), it is never going to happen as is. Shame.

Fly Safe, Sul.

Well, one big reason is becuase putitng PvP'ers' and industrialsits together is like putting a scorpion on the back of turtle. It's only a matter of time before they blow up their own miners, missioners and explorers for ***** and giggles just becuase, and everyone knows it.

Guys (and gals) I swear, I'm not trolling . . . is a discussion of the d-scan mechanic like the third rail of EVE? Seriously, am supposed to HTFU about it, but still listen to people complain why bears won't go to null?

Absolutely, at least some of the time.

Whether it's HAWT "blue on blue" action to pad the killboards or corporate espionage of the most dastardly variety, NULL "culture" encourages that kind of mistrust due to the despotic and feudal nature of many of Null's inhabitants.

Some folks get angry. Some get even. Some laugh their asses off as they fly away with the lewtz.

Note, however, I did not say it was wrong or even a bad thing.

It's simply the cultural evolution of EVE -- like it or don't, ragequit or don't -- but folks need to at least have the 'nads to acknowledge that that's how it is.

"You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy" and all that.

Don't like it ? Feel free to go change it. Pirate

This is not a cry to change anything. Eve is what it is. Kind of a paradoxical balancing act for CCP and I think they do as well as possible considering what I think they are striving for.

Only because I'm weary of reading these threads: apply Occam's Razor, folks--a portion of the playerbase does not enjoy mashing d-scan every few seconds.

I have no solution, only the observation that it's one of the most effed-up game mechanics I've ever experienced.

This definitely hurts it. Being in WH space or having friendlys in null local is just tedious. Its not hard, but you have to make sure you keep pressing D-Scan every few seconds.

Not that it matters to me at all as my main lives in losec ... but there seems to be some very contradictory demands coming out of null.

Example:
Request 1. Please get rid of local in null.
Request 2. Please stop people being able to AFK cloak for an indefinite period .

In what possible universe is it rational and useful to implement both those changes at once ?
