Navy Omen (small gang)

I bought a Navy Omen for small gang work. Saw that this (old) fit had quite a few thumbs up, but I absolutely don't like flying without reps, so I replaced the 1600 plate with an 800 and fitted a medium repper. Also using a medium cap booster with navy 400's.

So my question is do you think this fit looks OK?

If you're flying in a gang with logi fit the 1600mm plate.

If you're solo or in a small gagn with no logi, the Nomen shines due to speed and range. As such play to the strengths by not rigging to reduce your speed. Instead fit a nano to boost speed and then rig it with + rep amount or speed which don't impact on speed, unlike trimarks or armor resists.

Also worth considering the benefits of Ancillary Armor Repper over normal repper.

Other than that the fit is good.

Drones are personal choice, some go for max dps and some for extra drones

there are very few reasons to use a standard repper over an ancillary repper in a PVP scenario.

That fit shines when backed by a Loki with links, it's quite a bit less amazing when truly solo and outright silly if used in a small gang by pilots who don't really know what they're doing.

Almost every time I ever flew a Zealot or a Nomen, I was primaried early on. So my fights were of the 'kite or evade' type.

That said: I don't think the neut in the hi-slot will get much use. The range is too short, unless you're hard tackled and up close, in which case.... you probly don't have much time left.

I'd fit for speed, agility, more like B Butlers fit there. 3 heat sinks, or 2 and an overdrive injector is more my style.

If your going to carry 2 flights of light drones, make 1 flight ecm drones.

OK, thanks for the tips. Think I'll use Butler's fit from now on.
