Making unwanted signatures F off

I live in a C5 C3

My static provides all the content I need.

Whats the fastest way of making all these unwanted gas sites etc despawn asap? (without actually having to mine the @rseholes).

I've tried just initiating warp and cancelling, but even that leaves the gas hanging around like a bad smell (top kek) for at least 3 or 4 days.

Thoughts?

You could leave your static open. Sometimes when you leave statics open, fairies come and make signatures diappear.

Warp to gas sites, wait patiently four days. New gas site spawns? Warp to it, wait patiently.

Can you hear them? They are calling to us. It is beautiful. http://thegreattichim.wordpress.com/

Tell me where they are at. I will get rid of them for you.

And they last 4 days after warping to them? Thanks, been looking for info on that for a while.

just mine them out dude.

spawn sleepers, clear them with a marauder, and mine the clouds out with a venture or 10.

Scam a carebear into your hole in a ship without probe launchers and force him to mine them for you.

Tell him it's an "epic mining spawn."

Mining the gas is literally your quickest option. Not only will they go away that day...but you get some iskies at the same time.

Core gas usually net ~40m per venture before sleepers even spawn, definitely worth it imo.

Tell me, does that permanently ignore the result, even after DT?

So what's the point?

Lets say your system has 10 sigs.

Before DT you knew where all the sigs were cos u have them BMd.

At DT they all get changed to

COK
DOK
FOK
LOK etc

So now you have to scan each one down to confirm they are still the same sigs as before....

then right click ignore.

How is that saving any time? You know any new sigs cos your list would look like

COK
DOK
DIE <----zomg pvp fleet is coming.
FOK
LOK etc

I just don't see how ignoring signatures you already know about UP until downtime, then having to rescan them again anyway at downtime is beneficial to "making unwanted signatures F off". You're just hiding them. At DT you have to scan all that sh!t again.

I wanted to know if theres a quick way of keeping your system clean and lean without having to waste time during boring mining sites etc. I want to log on to PvP, and I'd love to be able to log on to see 1 sig - my static. I just don't have time to spend hours doing that delightful hacking mini game where you chase a red arrow thats hiding behind some white box thingies.

Know what im saying? Yeh you know what im saying

I hearr u man...that's just the way it is...I cant say I don't disagree with you..but the reality is that this is all we can do. everyone wants so many things changed in whs that this is one of the lowest list of priorities right now. I think it would be nice if the sig had the same tag for 4 days or so until it was gone, harvested, killed, or just despawned on its own. that would make it easier to keep track...but that's just not the reality.

Ok, here is what you do:

  1. Set up a Hybrid Polymer Reaction POS. (Large is best for ease of maintenance. Lets you do 2 lines.)
  2. Initiate and cancel warp to all your gas sites.
  3. Play a round of LoL/DotA, whatever.
  4. Swap to PvE ship of choice and kill rats at gas sites.
  5. Salvage/loot (optional)
  6. Swap to Venture and mine gas while watching p0rn/anime/whatever.
  7. React gases+cheap mins you bought in hisec.
  8. Profit handsomely because some of those reactions are worth a metric ****-tonne of money.

Alternatively, you can just mine and export using a Miasmos. This is still worth the time.

If you don't want to import mins, you could theoretically mine ores from your mining anoms using the same Venture and refine at an array. But that is a poor use of your time. The same hauler you use to import fuel can be used to bring in a 100k units of the needed mins. This would keep you going for a few weeks.

Bookmark the sites and just sweep your probes over the bookmarks after dt and ignore the sites that are in the same location. How did you not figure this out yourself is the real question.

The method we use is corporate bookmarks.
Bookmark the signatures. Include the scan ID in the bookmark name.
The next day after downtime, take probes to each of your known signatures. Change the bookmark name. Even if you have 20 signatures in system, if this step takes more than about 5 minutes you're doing it wrong.
Ignore those known sigs, and bookmark any new ones.
For the rest of the day, it's trivial for anyone in the corporation to know what the known signatures are and if they have changed.

I've kind of already said I want the signatures to be gone, not hidden. Cool reading comprehension though bros.

Then:

Mine the gas/ore sites.
Defeat the combat sites.
Analyze the data & relic sites.
Roll the wormholes.

Or if you can wait 3 downtimes:
Warp to the gas/ore sites.
Warp to the combat sites.
Warp to the data & relic sites.
Warp to the wormholes (and wait 16 or 24 hours)

Finally, an actual answer. : Do them or warp to them and wait 3 DTs! Cheers.
