Greetings once again capsuleers, and a happy new year to all of you!

Many of you may know that the bigger classes of ships cannot utilize jump gates. For those of you that don’t, I’ll explain. All Capital Ships, excluding Freighters and Orcas, have jump drives built into them. If your ship is fuelled with the required jump fuel, you will be able to jump a set distance without jump gates. Note that Jump Freighters are still able to use jump gates normally, as well as using their on-board jump drive. Black Ops battleships also have a jump drive.

However, not only do you need a cynosural field generated in your destination system. You also need to calculate the range of your jumps, and where to place your beacons so you can get where you are going with minimal risk and interruption. That is where the Featured Fansite comes in.

http://www.eve-icsc.com/ is a tool that is very handy for calculating your jumps, ranges, and routes. Created back in 2005 by the alliance Interstellar Capital Systems Consortium, the tool was a supplement to the capital ships and components that the alliance provided. Nowadays the alliance may be gone but the tool is still extremely relevant. The tool was updated with the changes to Black Ops ships ranges, and all of the info there is correct. If you intend to move assets via jump drives in the future, and aren’t quite sure of all the logistics, I suggest you take a look at the tool and map your route accordingly. It will avoid any errors in calculations.

There are many more Fansites that might hold exactly what you need to assist you in EVE Online or list the information you never knew you were missing. Take a look; it is almost guaranteed you will find something to your liking. Alternatively, check out the last Fansite that was featured in this thread. The featured Fansite is picked at random every two weeks to showcase the important, community driven work these content creators bring to EVE Online.

jump planner is awesome, set your skills, your ship, Origin station, and end Station, It will give you the least active systems to jump to and gives you info like fuel needed, jump ranges etc

It feels grossly outdated compared to Dotlans jump planner.

Meanwhile new registrations have been disabled for ages which means your ship/skill settings get wiped clean for every new query which is very inconvenient for me since I make dozens of query's when making a jump plan.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.

Used to use Jumpplanner a lot but found Dotlan worked far better and
as I plan a lot of jumps, JF's, carriers, dreads, Blops bridges - in fact if it
has a jumpdrive I plan for it, Dotlan is simply the best.
