A spy-cartographer

• No cargo bay, no drones bay
• No weapon hardpoints
• 2-0-2
• Mass below frigs and above shuttles
• high speed
• more agile than frigs, a bit less than shuttles
• Cov-op
• Immune to bubbles

Use:
Fun and fast traveling in hostile areas
Intel provider (enhance 0.0 politics and tactics)
Make safespots and tactical spots in hostile/enemy areas

what do you think?

So basically a Nano/Inertial fitted Cov-Op Frigate?

It's not needed. Interceptors and covert ops frigates are virtually impossible to catch already.

immune to bubbles cov-op.

It would be OP, thats why no cargo bay no weapons.

The idea of a spy ship is : hard to notice it, weak if catched.

Pointless then, since a covops or an interceptor can already do all of that, while being able to light cynos, tackle things, use probes etc.

cov-ops are not immune in bubbles, and intys cannot hide. Am I wrong?

Cov-ops just mwd+cloak out of the bubble and warp off without anyone seeing, interceptors just GO FAST and ignore bubbles, and have the high slots to fit proto cloaks. Did you ever try to catch a lone covops at a gatecamp? It isn't easy.

Fit either one with a (proto) cloak, a probe launcher and a cyno, and you have something that does everything your idea does, and better.

About the only way this idea would be not already just making another ship in a role already covered is if it were given some pretty intense bonuses to probe launchers/scanners, so it could fit a cloak, expanded probe launcher, survey probe launchers, and scanners without being able to fit just about anything else.... not sure that that is needed as, already mentioned, there are multiple ships that do this already, albeit 1-2 at a time

The Law is a point of View

The NPE IS a big deal

But it has no cargohold, so you can't recover probes, so you probe one system and you're done.

(And I think you could do all that at once in a Stratios, couldn't you?)

Lol. Recovering probes would be tricky with no cargo.

And yeah, a stratios could do all this anyway.

EDIT: Unless it were given a Probe bay.....
