A new skill that gives 5% chance per level that rigs might drop like normal loot on kills where you have the final blow.

Prerequisites: Salvaging 5, Jury Rigging 5.

Why would anyone bother to train this skill? SImple. Rigs are valuable.

Example
  • Player has Rig Salvaging Level 4.
  • Player gets final blow on a ship that has 3 rigs fitted.
  • Each of the 3 rigs has a 20% chance of being passed into the loot drop system.
  • If they fail to enter the loot drop system, they are destroyed as per usual.
  • [*] Once in the loot drop system, the rigs have a 50% chance of dropping just like every other module.

They kind of do, since you make rigs out of salvage and bpos are cheap

    No.

However, what if you had a chance to get rigs from salvaging destroyed player ships? It could potentially move salvaging from something you do after you have turned in your mission to something you do in dangerous areas after PVP fights. Right now, salvaging t2 player ships is great, but t1 is not worthwhile in the least.
