It's a good book, it gives details of the minmatar taking on concord and ammar and slaves being freed. The first use of.AOE weapons, the rise of thibus heath (spell check pls).

The burning life is junk. Story of two junkies on the run.

Templar book have but not read

If people read more, there wouldn't be any crime or wars, because people would be too busy reading ... I think....

Found it to be a halfway decent read. Didn't really like the way the author made Tibus Heth seem like a (After leading the raid on the Caldari Constructions Factory) simpering buffoon in need of propping up and Jamyl Sarum to be a half - crazed trainwreck pining for "her man". I feel that the lore in general (Including Templar One) could explore a bit further the moral grey areas between the Empires instead of automatically being boring old Amarr/Caldari = Evil, Minmatar/Gallente = Good. Some of the EVE Chronicles bring that aspect out magnificently, so comparing the books to some of the better - written chronicles, I was left a bit disappointed by the books.

Was I supposed to call spoilers on that? Ah, well, too late.

Actually, people are much easier to control if you only give them the barest information, and make sure they dont want any further sources.

It's poorly written, predictable, and reads entirely too much like a travel agent's travelogue of New Eden. Can't blame the author - Clearly, the author had marching orders from CCP, and did the best possible, but when Marketting dictates teh plot line, what'cha gunna do?

Would've been a lot better if it hadn't tried to be all things to everyone. Stick to one region, one faction, and one storyline. Yes, that means writing multiple books - Many more. So what? Moar revenue!

Which? CVN-65 for me - AIMD. Loved that boat. Red Storm Rising (which just came out for a reference of time) was my book of choice while deployed.

The Empyrean Age, and Templar One area great reads. I say great... They're good reads. Probably the best computer game based fiction I've ever read though.

Don't read the Burning Years. For the love of all that is holy, don't even start reading it. Easily the worst book I have ever finished reading. The end makes it worse. The end of that book is like getting spat on when your down and out. It's terrible.

CVN-73. Home ported in Japan. AIMD also. Spent a few years aboard CV-63 and CV-62 also but I was with the air wing then. Red Storm Rising was a great read. His favorite book of mine is a toss up between Without Remorse, or The Sum Of All Fears.

I bought it back in 07 shortly after it came out, I got it while at fan fest of all places. I read about 10 pages and put it down. Its currently sitting on my self with another eve book collecting dust. The only reason I did not read it all the way is after I got home I was so busy with stuff that I kinda forgot I had it. By the time I saw it again I was Fully engaged in A Song of Ice and Fire that there was no way in hades I'd add another 500 page book after reading 8k or so pages of that series. But I am reminded that I have it, so I might as well read it. I'll keep it eve if I don't like for my 'eve collection'

We were about on the same time frame and thought process.

Yup. I read it all. Some of the storyline was interesting (Drem & co). The two agents-turned-drug-addicts on the run had bizarre turns and I kept finding myself asking, "why did you do that, Ralea?" And then in the last few pages I found myself asking, "why did you do that, Hjalti?"
